Kaepernick and Wilson probably haven't had a good night's sleep since the day before the draft... :D:D

Iron Sharpens Iron.

Donald will test Saffold, along with the rest of the #1's on the D- line making the Oline be sharp.....Minnesota Viking in Week One, and I pity the fools!:):owned:

Not to toot my own horn but...;)
No way I thought he'd fall to us... I even seen us trading up for him if anything but didn't think we would with how our D-Line was set. Lady Fate is smiling down on us :D

While it's hard to believe that Donald fell to us last year, it's even harder to believe that the same thing happened with Quinn. Noe, if only the same thing would happen to us next year involving a stud WR.

Totally. Maybe it was the position. The next DT (Easley) didn't go until #29. Only 3 were taken in the 2nd round. Only 1 OG was taken in the first two rounds. Either it was a perceived lack of talent or the NFL just doesn't value the center of either the O-line or the D-line. Mind boggling to me.
Seems like the trend has been for teams to grab pass rushers, Wr's and CB's early in the draft. I'm glad the value of WR's was inflated this past draft. I can't imagine there are many draft boards that are put together in which Odell Beckham is the 12th best play overall.

I know it's these players time off and the coaches can't encase them in plastic bubbles, but this kind off stuff always makes me nervous......."Donald took three days off to go jet skiing"

You and me both. For years it seemed as though the football gods hated us ... but the were certainly smiling on us this draft day. I had Donald pegged for Tampa Bay as he seems like the perfect DT for Lovie's D.
The gods smiled on us when Quinn fell although some of that had to do with him having a tumor and not playing for a year.

Quinn falling wasn't terribly surprising because he hadn't played football in a year and had a brain tumor. Hopefully the young kids mature some.

Good to see you've decided to do at least a fly by of our community. ;)
This is a great community filled with many posters, most of whom have a great sense of humor. We use blue font when we're just joking around so if you come across something in that font color don't take it at face value.

I've been complaining about Langford's play for the last two years and now I think we're all going to see why and what a really good DT can do when working alongside Brockers. This is going to be a fun year.
I know a lot of people have complained about Langford's play, but I just don't see it. It took him a few games in 2012 to acclimate to the position change but, IMO, he had a solid year in 2012 and a good - very good year last year. I am anxious to see AD play and I'm very glad we drafted him, but I don't think he was drafted because the coaches/FO are unhappy with Langford's performance.

It means that the letters kind of lean over to the right. You know those crazy Italics, they're always to trying to duplicate the Tower of Pizza.

My first thought when I read that quote was "thank Bhudda he didn't get injured doing something crazy" but being of German ancestry I was able to keep my letters in my thoughts upright. It's a genetics thing.

Yeah, hard to disagree with that.

I'm certain you're right that they didn't draft Donald because of Lankford's play. While we don't agree about the level of his play, can you say that he wasn't the weakest link among our D-line starters?

I don't know that I would call him "the weakest" just because it sounds like an indictment. He, or anyone else, could play very good football and still not be the "best" on that line; the competition there is pretty stiff. Surely, he has room for improvement but I see him as anything but a weakness.

So stereotypical of you being all serious. German stereotypes is something I don't think I'll ever understand.

I'm sufficiently impressed that I have requested my autographed jersey I get in my "package" be Aaron Donald, it will be the only autograph I own,for those who haven't heard that spiel I don't believe in autographs, making an exception here.

I don't care if you're at work, home or in the middle of the sahara desert. Take 10 minutes and watch Donald go beast mode.. Then imagine him next to Quinn, Long and Brockers :)

BigRamFan thinking it's all relative:

My gripe is the total lack of push up the middle and that lack has, IMO, greatly reduced the effectiveness of our pass rush. Weakness and incompatibility are synonyms to me in this situation. So while Lankford's play might look good in isolation, come game time I frequently don't like what I see.

Because we finished in the top 3 in sacks the last two years many don't think we have a problem on the line but considering how much resources we put into it (4 first rounders after drafting Donald) we are under performing IMO. I'm tired of the opposing QB just stepping up into the pocket and dumping a pass off to one of their wide open WRs. The issue is the middle of the D-line and I'm not buying Brocker's play as being the culprit. Now that we have Donald, the former deficiencies of the D-line will stand out like a sore thumb.

That's my prediction anyway.

Still shocked he fell to the Rams.

That's a byproduct of all the overhyping of other players. Some very good players fall through no fault of their own. The Rams, consequently, ended up with two potential blue chip players in Round One. :sneaky::ROFLMAO:

Great German minds think alike. And after winning the World Cup, everyone else must agree with us on everything for the next four years.

And yes @LazyWinker I was being quite serious. The italics were used to differentiate my comments from the ones in the quoted article.

The Incredible Brock remains the key to the DL. The Mighty One will do his thing too, but if Brockers can get disruptive enough to consistently tie up 2-3 blockers virtually every snap, he will force mant 1-on-1 match ups for his line mates. How many teams can control Chris Long, The Mighty Quinn, and Aaron Donald with a single blocker?

I had seen this before, but my Lord this stuff is better than porn! The great part about this is how can other teams possibly commit a double team to him? He should make plenty of plays this year!
