Well....I don't quite know how I got here. It was as close to a--Forrest Gump starts his running for no reason--as I could have ever imagined. I never set out to do this. I started in an attempt to quit soda and just figured...well...I've gone this far...might as well try the next thing...so I quit all sugar....then I went that far...so I went ahead and I just quit all carbs and drinking calories period and one thing became another and 25lbs turned into 50lbs turned intp 100 and now here we are at 150lbs lost....its surreal.

I've refused to make it the "Who" I am now...I see that shit on FB and it makes me sick. People changing and its for the better and that's great...but fuck...you doing it for you or for the likes?...(to be clear...this post...all about the likes damn it....150lbs....you fuckers better hit that button!) Anyway, because I haven't really spoken about it on socials at all..it's fun running into people I haven't seen in a while. I began this weight loss in September so...that is a fairly quick amount of time I guess...so i really fucks with people. And I LOVE IT. It does not get old!

The energy is terrific. But, I've found no time for TV. No time for sports. I spend all my free time on my new hobbie....Chickens and Ducks!!!

I think I want to lose around 25 more lbs then loos at maybe some skin removal if I can. Ive maintained tight skin in my chest, arms and legs by working out. But the belly....that's ankther story gents....

I'm rambling now.

Well first off congrats. Isn't it amazing how different you feel with the weight change. I was fortunate being a career military type that I had assholes weighing me 2x a year and the performance tests keeping me honest, but even with all that my weight would fluctuate between 195 and 225 depending on whether I was on a deployment (when away from family I would get very fit think I went as low as 183 after a period in Iraq). After I retired I let myself stay around 235 for a couple years which was just too damn heavy, my frame is just not big enough for that much fat. Now I keep myself at 210 which feels about right for an average Joe of my height (5'10").

The energy is crazy though, just how much easier it is to do anything. I tended to do a lot of heavy lifting so quite a bit of my weight I'd carry was muscle, but even getting rid of some muscle helps with the energy level. Had a doc at the VA explain to me that the weight itself whether it is muscle or fat is a burden on your heart regardless, so he was a big believer in weight overall being in certain windows and I can't say I disagree with him now.

So my question is what did you do with your fat pants. Did you keep them or burn them. Suggest if you have not burned them yet that you do so. Mentally it lets you know the shit is real and there's no going back. :laugh2:

Congratulations! I have lost 30lbs over the last 3 yrs and it has taken a lot of work, would like to drop another 15, but not sure I have the discipline to do so. I love ice cream too much.

Lol hey 5lbs sucks to lose at this point lol. I don't even enjoy food anymore. Lol it's like your body gets used to it. And it's funny. One of the tricks I learned...when I hit a plateau...I eat a cheeseburger....the carbs and fat...idk what it is but it like jump starts the weight-loss again. Lol funny ain't it....i read about it...thought it was nonsense...but tried it and have used it to get past probably 5-6 plateaus
