We may have found a diamond in the rough with one of our UDFA's. This guy is very fun to watch... watching his fast-twitch, low center-of-gravity, his wiggle and shiftiness is beautiful. It's like NFL Porn to me.... I HOPE his game translates to the NFL.

I have a feeling the Rams know something most don't.

Let’s see if he makes the team didn’t watch the highlights but statistics would suggest he’s a fringe practice squad player at best

You should watch the highlights.
Just as someone who likes good football plays will enjoy watching this kid run. He has crazy cuts for 5'11" 210lbs.

Its clear he has some ability to catch the ball too.
I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the practice squad or the final 53 if he can secure the PR role. I could see him getting coached up and making the RB depth chart next season.

Certainly has the look of a punt returner/gadget player. But I thought the same of several players since McVay got here but just doesn’t seem to do that. He has his starters on offense and rarely does anyone else ever get brought in to play unless an injury happens.

FWIW when my trophy bride of 29 years & I make our yearly trip to Texas (Dallas area) we actually love to tour campus's (hopefully we can continue this) been to many, however, last year because we were strapped for time, I suggested we stay close and tour SMU, which was only 30 minutes away from our Hotel and is an amazing campus and we were actually able to get on the field because somebody left a gate open (how convenient).

Anyway that was November of 2019 and I started paying more attention to SMU and their games. Xavier Jones runs hard, has a nose for the goal line, does not have top end speed, but will run over you instead of around you in some cases. Interested to see if there is a preseason for Jones to get some reps.

I don't believe the Rams will carry 4 RB's, especially with the likes of Akers, Henderson & Brown, but I expect Jones to be on the practice squad and have an excellent chance to make the team next year, barring injury of course.

I can't imagine ANY team not carrying at least 4 RB's

They only carried 3 last year, and that was with an achy breaky Gurley
Unless an RB is contributing in ST, there's no reason to carry 4. I imagine they'd carry an extra TE over an extra RB

Well, maybe with the additional roster spots, but why? Three are good, it's not like the Rams run two RB's sets and the Rams went with 3 until Brown was hurt last year, then they had to activate Kelly.
