I was watching the Chefs lose to the iggles. The iggles were allowed to false start on a key 4th and 1 and score a TD. But it's just my opinion, but one way to possibly stop the tush push is to have more beef out there than the iggles. In other words, you get a few other 300 pound linemen to play behind the D-line instead of 230 pound linebackers. The D Line will submarine against the O Line and then the next wave, instead of linebackers and DBs, will be more beefy D linemen. Of course you might still need to guard the edges, but at least the pile might be stopped in its tracks if the O-line has more beef opposing them. Thoughts?

If it was as easy as getting more "beef" out there all the teams playing the Eagles would do just that.
Their O line is really, really good. (and we just gave them another good player, sigh)
We need to stop their huge RB and QB from having multiple long runs against us.
Not too worried about their stupid tush push.

.

There's only one way to stop it.

A defender has to launch himself at hurts, after seeing where he's going, put his helmet down at the last second and hit that fucker in the helmet so he gets knocked out. The scum will think twice before running it again.

The only way to stop it is not put yourselves in that situation.

More BEEF seems like a bad idea, they could go to shotgun or run something laterally, they would likely have more options in that circumstance that lead to a bigger play. I'd like to see a team try it however, just not us.

The literally won a Lombardi with this gimmick.

The whole go low and take out the legs should be penalized. Same way the Broncos low blocked their way to Lombardis or the Billicheats found a loophole in the system.

Need two more owners to step the hell up next vote . The Lions and Saints screwed the pooch.

I would sweep the leg if you know what I mean.

Best way to stop it is to score points. Eagles are really good at the play and they move early which I think is part of the play design. Rams need to point this out to the officials. If it's 4th and 1 they will convert it. Good thing is we're really good on 4th and 1 as well. It's a wash.

Hurts’ mobility and running threat is the problem. We’ve been letting QBs escape up the middle after setting and collapsing edges.

How did they miss that? That was so obvious.
The refs know what coming. They only need to watch a 6’ x 6’ portion of the field. For fairness and for safety, they need to watch it real tight on those please. When the Eagles played the Commodores last year and the Commodores took exception to the butt plug by going off sides four times ready to take somebody’s head off that should’ve been a warning blast to the league.

I heard a take on the radio this morning about that butt f--- play. That's what I call it. Whoever it was talking about this was a retired NFL ref. He was asked about that play on air during right after that play. He told the guys in the booth... "that play cannot be referee-ed because you can't see". This morning on the radio, Dan Patrick said that this is going to be how they justify getting that play out of the NFL. They finally have a solid argument on why to ban it because the injury reason wasn't backed up with any proof of injuries.

Hopefully they remove that shit from the game immediately. It's not a football play. Pushing the ball carrier from behind should never be allowed. Just like pulling a ball carrier forward is already a penalty. That play bastardizes the spirt of the game.

During the week get on the league and the refs regarding the false starts. They could position a camera right over the play if they wanted to do so.

The League could also make an adjustment as to where the sideline officials lineup for the tush-push.

Take the sideline officials OFF the sideline for that play. All the players are in the middle of the field; and there are officials on the field throughout the game. It's out-of-the-norm but it's Not a big adjustment.

Place the sideline officials on each side of the field about ten feet from the players. Get-down on one knee for a better view of the interior OL's hands and arms for an early start.

The camera angle idea would work but it would also mean an immediate review of every tush-push-play.

They only have that angle on the camera in the endzone.
The rest of that is a great idea.

Its such a huge advantage for them because they really only needs to worry about getting 8-9 yards on two plays to set up a 3rd and short.
Its tough to stop and the only realistic way to keep them in 3rd and more than 2. That means tight coverages which means the trade off is possibly and likely giving up bigger plays down field.
It is a pick you poison sort of thing to me.
