What do you think about the Seahawks right now?

Buyers or sellers at the trade deadline?

At 2-5 they can get back into the mix… The 7th NFC playoff team is 3-3 this moment.

I know, damn. These guys won’t be going away.

Russell Wilson can return is week 10… with their bye conveniently week 9.

This week they are home vs Jacksonville. That’s not a guaranteed win… but let’s assume they are 3-5.

The rest of their schedule looks like this;

Some fans are restless and calling for a rebuild:

More chatter about trading Wilson.

I think they win 5 more games (Jacksonville, Washington, Houston, Detroit and once against SF). That's it. They're not in good shape right now and rebuild would be necessary, but I don'T know about their cap situation. The big contract for Adams didn't help...

If the line vs the jags is really Seahawks -3 I will be fucking HAMMERING that

Cowherd brought this up:

Pete’s been there 12 years. They haven’t drafted well ever since they gave him personnel power. Tell him he has to just focus on the football coaching and let the GM take care of the draft. And Pete has never won without Wilson.

He also mentioned how poorly the Patriots have drafted once Belichick got full power too. It rarely works out.

Jerry Jones has put together a good team in Dallas but he’s taken a long time to do it and had a lot of poor drafts along the way.

Normally SEA is the type of team that struggles early on and then something clicks and they go on a run to the playoffs.

I don't see it this year, they're done. They're going to to either nail their upcoming draft (unlikely) or make some moves in the offseason to make a quick turnaround, Wilson (32) and Wagner (31) are the keystones to their team.

JAX, HOU, SF, CHI, DET - all wins

If Wilson comes back - I think they'll beat Arizona once and possibly Washington

Finish 9-8 and get the 7 seed

Good post. I thought their goose was cooked but you are right, we cannot discount them. Man I hope they loose to the Jaguars but was impressed with how their defense has responded

Really? Don't they usually start on fire (aka "Let Russ Cook") and then peter out as the season goes on?

Trading and giving that much up for Adams is one of the dumbest moves a franchise has made in recent memory, and I'm just glad it was a division rival and not us. That trade alone is going to cost them a lot in the next few years.

They've drafted for shit because their coach thinks he's a GM as well. Please Petey keep this up!

The same coach traded as much if not more for an in the box safety as our brilliant GM traded for a shut down corner.

Their fans have no idea they were once in the AFC West :D (So this isn't what's dragging the team down just love pointing that out)

Their franchise QB is one of the only things they've done right since drafting him. They don't provide him with an OLine or a competent OC. He's frustrated and very likely out the door soon. Just hope it's not in the NFC that he moves to.

There is little to nothing in Seattle to be hopeful about and it's a pleasant feeling being a Rams fan to know this.

I would get rid of Pete before Wilson.

Even if they decide to cut some guys loose and rebuild, they still need a QB.

How many teams that have gotten rid of great QBs, look back and still think it was a good idea?

Not the AFC East. The West.

Yeah that! It's amazing what you miss when typing before that first dose of caffeine.
I had to look it up to be certain.

Interesting fact. Seattle played in the NFC West in its first season (1976); and Tampa was in the AFC West.

The next season, they switched Conferences.

They were struggling before Wilson got hurt.... they are on the ropes right now for sure.

They have been bad on defense but last year they struggled the 1st half on defense then were on of the best defenses the 2nd half.

We will see - they are certainly on the edge.

And the Cardinals used to be in the NFC East with the Saints in the West.
