I'm a Rams Homer, always, this is spot on. Remove the 4th and 6th round 2022 round picks to the Cheatriots and we do not win the Super Bowl without his individual contributions. That's WE not ME through McVay. They all bought in. It wasn't all OBJ and Von Miller. Michel was an intriguing piece, always. He has always been that chess piece, for the Dolphins now who knows. He has the bling bling to show most definitely now. It's weird he got us in the SB late night, SMH we were so close to going on a roll. It's not on Goff. We were there and I never want to watch that SB again one and done.

I also really have always digged his name since drafting from Georgia 1st round right off memory, saying some names are cool as fuck. Well done parents.

This is so similar to Malcom Brown. So similar no mention of him in that article. Interesting....

Good player, did exactly what we needed him to do.
No disputing he's a championship type of player.

On a side note, is Brown still at the Dolphins?

Man, early projections had him looking at 4-5 mill per. Its crazy how the league values RB's these days. He's a legit starting RB making just over league minimum, in fact even if he signed during FA period this probably wouldnt have even factored much in the comp pick formula

What gives? Michel is chronically underrated. He has two rings and was well worth a no1 pick even if the Patsies picked the wrong RB from Georgia...

Why didn't we sign him back at that price? That looks like ridiculous value to me

I agree, he's a value for sure for Miami at that price. Probably not speedy and pass-catchy enough for McVay.

RB is the one position where I question McVay's sanity. But given how great he is as a HC it's kind of splitting hairs to complain about it. He simply does not value power in a RB.

I totally agree. I was banging the drum on resigning him prior to the draft when his "value" seemed to be in the 3-4 mill range. And when he didnt sign during FA period I figured for sure he was going to get paid by a team who didnt have to worry about comp picks.
With the injury history of our top 2 backs, its crazy to not have brought him back for this kind of money, even with drafting the stud from ND
Just goes to show what the league thinks about the RB position

There were times he tried to use Brown in that role. I'm not sure the OL as constructed is, outside of Havenstein, a very good straight-power blocking unit.

I have always loved a good running game and think you can't win in the post season without a RB who can get tough yards AND who can make a defense defend the run in play action. You all know this, I know.
The sad part is that talented football minded athletes will spend more time on the jug machines than running between the tackles. We will probably never see a Bo Jackson, Eric Dickerson, Marcus Allen, etc... running for two thousand yards, and several seasons above 1500 yards in a Rams uniform again, and that saddens me. Why would you want a career that lasts three years as a RB as opposed to a second contract as a receiver? I guess it's the old guy in me that likes to see 12 play drives of pounding the ball, eating clock and resting the defense.
Get off my lawn!
