I’m trying to find a silver lining in last night’s debacle. We were unprepared, outcoached in every phase of the game, and played the sloppiest game I’ve seen under McVay. Still, we had a chance to win it. How was that even possible? After every loss, McVay tells us that all they have to do is go back to work and clean up a little things but it seems to happen over and over again and nothing changes. A great example is the blocked kick situation. I coached high school football for over 20 years and we always taught out OL on PAT to step down and inward, close the gap to your inside yet we’ve lost two games now because we can’t figure that out. You would think after the first block in the Eagles game, the ST coach would sit down with his unit in the sideline and iron that shit out. Hell, they still haven’t figured it out. The soft zone shit, how many times are we going to let Jones throw a six yard pass? Fourth and short? We can never stop it but can never convert on our end. Kyren fumbling. Come on. Take care of the ball. Red zone woes? You had the entire off-season to draw something up yet we still struggle. This offense has to much talent to settle for field goals all the time. If McVay can just take care of those little issues, this team can compete with anyone.

I told my son that this was a trap game. The defense let us down in the first half. This may be the last solid year for Stafford. We wasted an easy win last night. The Rams, fan since '67, are famous for losing the easy wins. Yes, McVay was outcoached. And the team must have been listening to all the ESPN talking heads that called this an easy win for the Rams. We should have won by a good margin. Man, it sucks....

ehhh go check out week 5 against the Seahawks in LA in 2017. Very similar vibes.
Look at the 2025 schedule and identify games where we are the odds on favorite and then BEWARE. And it is not just McVay. The Rams have been blowing easy wins since Chuck Knox and John Robinson. But no bigger disappointment than the offensive "genius" Mike Martz losing in SB 36. My confidence in the Rams for the rest of the season is gone.

I think that beating the Seahawks this season will be more important as far as winning the division. Long season and I expect it will come down to us and the Seahawks for the division. We'll see them first mid November. By then we should be playing our best ball. We don't meet the Cardinals till December. Cardinals are usually tanking by then.

Was last night worse than Miami last year on MNF?

Pros and Cons yeah but that Dolphin team had one fucking win coming into that game.

The GSOT didn't blow easy wins. When the got a big lead, it was going to be a long day for the opponent. And they usually beat the ever-loving shit out of bad teams. They played plenty of complete games too, all four quarters, which is something the Rams almost never do. I'm trying to think of the last time they did ... maybe the 2022 50-burger they laid on the Broncos in an otherwise shitty season. But since the end of the 2018 season, the number of really complete games the Rams have played, all four quarters, is probably less than 10.

I understand the frustration but think about things from other teams perspectives around the league.

How did the Niners lose at home to the Jaguars last week and then come out and perform like this? The Jags appear to be one of the most mediocre 3-1 teams I've ever seen.

The Falcons are 2-1 with a last second loss to the Bucs outside of......a 30-0 drubbing by the Panthers.

The Seahawks have looked like world beaters but couldn't top the Niners in week one.

Go back to other years...we've won games we should lose and sure, lost games we should win. That is going to happen more when you are a good enough team that you 'should' win most games you play.

Every week lesser teams upset better teams.

It’s usually due to turnovers, special teams issues and/or game planning.

Shula has been excellent but in my opinion got schooled by Ratboy and failed to adjust quick enough.

Turnovers and special teams speak for themselves.

I predicted they would short pass us to death underneath. But it's not like that's a hard thing to foresee, since it happens every time McVay plays Shanahan. And we never have the secondary to stop it.

But I also thought we would dominate these assholes up front in the run game and put up a good offensive day. Never really fails though, Shanahan can have nobodies out there and shut McVay's offense down.

Glad we have that big win over Shanny and the title. That's what matters most. But Shanahan owns McVay head to head. It really isn't close.

You could make the argument that Shanny is a better regular season coach than McVay, although I'll take McVay in the playoffs all day every day. Shanny is a choker in the big games.

I just wish McVay would work on his issues. He seems to let problems persist, and that's why we'll probably go into the playoffs as a lower seed than our talent level suggests we should.

I mean, Ratboy attacked us right where our weakness is, the middle of the field. He knew our LBs would play too deep and exposed it time and time again. Both Speights and Landman leave a lot to be desired in coverage, but either way there are adjustments that could have been made to help them out which I didn't see. I'm actually gonna watch the All 22 when I get home to get a better understanding of the defensive play calling.
