I think they will pressure Darnold as they did with him on the Vikings in the playoffs when they sacked him 9 times.

I think the data on the 49ers game showed that the edge rushers dropped into coverage as a way to control TMC (Young 15X; Verse 3X, Stewart 6X; Hampton 4 X). They won't do that as often this week, especially Young, who should have a good game as he and Verse can go after rookie LG Grey Zabel (44th pass block PFF and 61st overall) and new center Olu Oluwatimi (54th pass block PFF) with Sundell out.

Keep playing McCullough and not Kitchens on passing plays. Same for Curls and Landman as they need to replace them on any obvious passing downs.

We need to get to Darnold. Easier said than done since I bet MacDonald will likely scheme a lot of quick hitters, let the receivers do what they can, but we can't send three and hope for the best.

Might be the game where we see McCreary on the defense, just to give the Rainy City Bitch Pigeons a new look.

Shut down JSN, tackle, and get pressure on Darnold

We'll have to shut down their running game as well. Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet are a solid one-two, if healthy, and they actually have receivers outside of JSN (Horton's been having a good rookie year, we just played Shaheed and he'll be wanting a solid game, and I bet Kupp wants to make a statement in this game. Not even mentioning Arroyo at tight end.) that we'll need to take into account.

Defensively, I want Nacua or Adams matched up on Woolen or Kendrick. I like our matchup in both cases.

One thing im not worried about is their run game. The rams have shut down every top RB this year. Theres no reason why Seattle should run all over us, unless we come up w a shit gameplan.
Yeah I agree their WRs pose a problem and kupp will tell them exactly how to attack our DBs. Im more stoked they don't have any big WRs which is who we have the hardest time with.
I think their gameplan will be to play JSN just like we played ST Brown last time we played Detroit. We'll see tho easier said than done

I'm curious if Darnold is going to get PTSD as soon as he hears Verses voice? Darnold was lights out in all but 4 games last year, 2 against the lions and 2 against us. It may not happen early but the pressure will get to him and he will be who he was last season.

They do have Jake Bobo, who is 6'4". He always seems to make a play against us. Forgot about him.

But I bet Seattle commits to the run, screens, and quick passes to neutralize our pass rush. Just have to get home on the times Darnold drops back, and we have to always rush more than three defenders; their line is much younger and healthier than San Fran's.

Seattle can beat us if we F around.

We would all have a meltdown I am sure.

But look at the big picture. Both teams are making the playoffs. The playoffs is when it matters.

I just hope SF didn't reveal the blueprint on beating our defense and if they did we are prepared to adjust.

Both teams look elite. The difference (I hope) is that the Rams have several dudes and a HC who’s “been there done that” so to speak.

This is a huge game. Seattle is more likely to shit the bed in terms of mental preparation, although I expect both teams to play well.

I’m not sure Seattle has been thoroughly tested this season by any opponent either. The Rams had the Colts, Eagles and Niners twice(which is ALWAYS a test for our guys).

I’m expecting a result that humbles the Seahawks a bit. I’m unusually optimistic about this game, lol.

It sounds simple. Protect Stafford and get to Darnold. Darnold has only been sacked 10 times in 9 games. Because they like to run (30.2/g) rather than pass (25.8/g). On defense, they have 2 sacks total in their 2 losses, 30 in their 7 wins. We need to sack him about 3 or 4 times and keep #9 relatively clean.....that ought to do it. I hope Shula has some crafty blitz packages.

Rams just put a thrashing on the 9ers in fine fashion at their house and they're loving it...as they should!!! The key here is to put the 9ers away already because this game is as big as that one. A win puts them in the driver seat for the division...so the plan has to be to stay focused and don't relax because you're at home, or because the Rams have owned the Hags lately.

I'm up for this one as much as the 9ers. The Hags are better, but I want the Rams give them a reality check, because the Rams are the class of the NFC West!!!

McVay has to have them ready in all phases!!! As every game presents it's own aura, I don't have a feel for this one yet...but Sunday's coming...:thumbsup1:
