Question: On the long touchdown pass to Tee Higgins, it looked like there could have been offensive pass interference. Just wondering what your crew saw and why that wasn’t called?

Torbert: “The crew did not see any contact that warranted pass interference. It was a contested catch, and the crew didn’t see any contact that rose to the level of pass interference.”

Question: So, both sides were going at it pretty good, so, no call?

Torbert: “Well, the crew didn’t see contact that rose to the level of offensive pass interference.”

Question: It looked on the replay as if Higgins had the facemask of Jalen Ramsey. Was an official not in a position to spot that?

Torbert: “Our rule is that if there is a grab and twist and turn, there’s enough for a foul. If there’s just a rake across the facemask, where there’s not a twist and turn even if there’s a grab, there is no foul. The officials did not see any contact that rose to the level of a foul for a 15-yard facemask.”

Question: So, they did not see a twist and turn?

Torbert: “Yes, that’s correct.”

In other words they don’t know what their job is and allow their personal interpretation of the rules interfere with calling the game.

If you didn’t see Ramsey’s head get turned, you weren’t watching or you intentionally ignored it.

Bengals fans on a YouTube comment section are whining like little bitches about the calls at the end of the game while making every excuse in the book for the refs on the Tee Higgins TD and insisting that it really didn't matter or affect the game. Yeah, fuck that shit.

I thought there was more of a foul on Higgins than the PI called on the 3rd and 8 Kupp call. Kupp wasn't really restricted from trying to make a play on the ball, the LB was just in better position to his credit. Unfortunately, Torbert's experience as an attorney has reared its ugly head as lawyers are trained to never, ever be wrong or admit fault.

Second-to-Final Question: "So you guys blew the call?"

Torbert's Second-to-Final Answer (same as above): "Yes, that's correct"

Final Question: "So you guys Fucked-Up?"

Torbert's Final Answer (also, same as above): "Yes, that's correct"

I'm glad this is the call everyone is talking about today instead of latching on to the Bengals fans whining about the calls toward the end of the game. This one isn't going to be marred like the NFC championship win over New Orleans, because no matter what those guys say about the calls at the end of the game, the non-call of a blatant facemask/OPI on Higgins is always going to be an elephant in their room.

The thing is they were just letting them play, until ALL THE SUDDEN they start calling things in the 4th quarter.

It's BS. The refs gave you a Touchdown. That's a huge missed call. Refs suck, but they sucked all game. As they always do.

Exactly. That's what they are saying. And it's bullshit.

Look at it this way - after they let the TD to Higgins stand, if they let the Bengals get away with all that illegal contact on our receivers at the end of the game, everybody today is talking about how the officials favored the Bengals and one it for them. And those calls at the end were all defensible calls, unlike the indefensible miss on Higgins obvious foul.

The play happened in front of us and Ramsay’s flop on the play was uncharacteristic but not unheard of.

When Brrr,s ball was thrown I was thinking possible interception.

Then went into shock that play happened right after the half.

Then……..got back to the room watching the highlights and the uncharacteristic flop was a pretty flagrant face mask.

Fast game but come on.

Right. Even the close Kupp call, which I will acknowledge is a bad call, but on that play, if you are looking full speed, Kupp jerks himself in a way that could fool a ref into thinking the DB pulled him. Wrong call, but real fast its easy to think it was PI. All the other calls were defensible on that series to me. Atleast from what I saw watching live.

Of course they are talking like the game was fixed.

That is how those hillbillies can justify a loss.

When we sacked Brrr’s one of those record seven times Jethro next to us who cried loudly the entire game starting crying roughing the passer when a flag was thrown. Turned out to be a personal foul on the Bungles. Inbred could not wrap his mind around that.

A sack being roughing the passer……….

Cant recall that ever being called.

They are not a very intelligent group.

Didn't the refs take away a Rams touchdown on a penalty in the last 2 minutes?
Or was I watching a different game?
Isn't taking 6 points off the board a bigger impact than getting 4 yards and a new set of downs?
I don’t understand how holding and unsportsmanlike penalties offset.
Holding is a ten yard penalty. Unsportsmanlike conduct is a fifteen yard penalty. So why doesn’t the offense gain five yards?
