I have a Masterbuilt Gravity Series. It's cool because it is a charcoal grill that has wifi. So I can get it started and monitor and/or adjust it on my phone.

I can also use splits in the hopper so I get really good wood smoke flavor.

I ended up going with 250 for about 4 hours as it was pretty warm here.
Any advice for a good cheap smoker? Got a propane grill but smoking seems kinda a pain with it. low and slow always way ive gone. Want to start smoking many meats.

Depends on what you consider cheap. I bought mine for about $500 three years ago. Because it's wifi enabled, it doesn't really get much simpler to operate. Maybe not quite as simple as a pellet grill but far better flavor. Upright propane fired smokers work pretty well and are much cheaper. I had three 27" wide propane smokers behind my restaurant that I used all the time. You can probably pick a smaller one of those up for around $200.

The Fall Guy

the new Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt movie , based on the old TV show , well , kinda sorta

wont give the story away , but we had a good time , the wife called it a really good date night movie

it had been a while since the wife and I have been to the theatre , at least for us anyways , and it was a good date night movie , a little something for everyone

this movie pays tribute to all the stunt people in Hollywood , as it was directed by David Leitch who is a stunt man / stunt coordinator , they even make a joke about it , when Ryan Gosling's character was asked , if any stunt man has ever won a Oscar , and says , no , they have not

which is kind of crazy , when you think about it , there are 25 regular categories handed out each year , and none of them are for stunts , and yet stunts are a big part of most every movie

but at the heart of the movie , it's actually a romantic movie , Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt have great chemistry together ,, the movie even felt like a throw back to those 80's action movies , doesn't take it's self to series , some nice humor , some good action , kind of that 80's action movies action.................lol

a little Beverly Hills Cop with a little Romancing The Stone mixed it

I'll give it a 8/10 , on the rewatchability scale

Dune Part 2 - was pretty good.

I enjoyed the first part for its fealty to the book. This one followed a bit but seemed to take more liberties with the story now that I am hooked.

Wild that it was on demand a couple of weeks later……..

Watched Where The Crawdads Sing on Netflix yesterday. Really enjoyed it; it’s nothing particularly challenging but it’s well shot and well acted.

Well worth a watch, in my opinion.

Michael Keaton is in a new flic called Knox Goes Away. He directed it too.

I paid the $20 to watch it and I felt it was worth it. Most of the time when I pay that to watch a movie that has just come out I'm disappointed. Not this time. Al Pacino is in it too and man they make him look wild.

Fun watch. Especially if you are someone who enjoys crime shows. But there's a lot to be entertained with including some gore in this one. I enjoyed it way more than I expected to.

I'll give it an 8 out of 10.

Anyone but you- 4/10

The writing is bad, the acting is bad, it’s got lots of cliche’s. The only reason to watch it is if you think Sydney Sweeney is nice to look at. My wife thinks she is dysmorphic. I never noticed before because I only ever focus on her body.

The Holdovers

Disappointed. Given its reviews, awards and director/lead combo, I was expecting something memorable. It wasn't a bad movie, just... meh.

The Rise Of The Battle Of The Conquest Of The Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes

or whatever this one is called

it's actually pretty good , but I'm just going to give kind of a generic grade for now

7.5/10

From what I've read , their planning on making 9 of these movies

the first three were the Caesar trilogy , and now I'm guessing this will be the Noa trilogy

I'm guessing ....................

I'm also guessing these new movies have nothing to do with the Charlton Heston

This new movie , 300 years after Caesar

good story , good cast and acting , looks amazing , even at 2 1/2 hours , it didn't feel like it

if you go see it , try to go in with as few spoilers as possible , defiantly stuff in the movie not shown in the trailer

I gave it a 7.5 / 10

it's a really good movie , but MAN !!!! , do I have some question , and more then just a couple.................lol

so my grade will change , depending on . if and how they answer those questions in the future movie

over all , if you like the other Planet Of The Apes movies , you'll like this one

as part one of a new trilogy , it's off to a good start

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

Planned on going to the theatre to see this but it bombed so hard they already sent it to prime video starting this weekend for purchase. Anyway, bought it anyway. Starring Henry Cavill, Alan Ritchson, and Cary Elwes. This movie had a lot of promise but it didn't quite hit the homerun for me. I was expecting a bit of a different movie as the trailer for it made it seem like it'd be more humorous than it was. It did have some funny moments but I couldn't tell if they were trying to take a more serious or light tone throughout whole movie. Was a Guy Ritchie film and definitely felt like it in that regards who I have a mixed bag when it comes to liking his movies.

Anyway, it was about a true story that I'm sure was heavily embellished about a team of misfits Britain sent to disrupt the North Atlantic U-boat blockade so the Americans could join the war. It was an off-the-books operation. And the operation was said to be what inspired Ian Fleming to create James Bond.

Worth the watch but again I thought it would be better at the end of the day. The cast is A+.

7/10

Although there were a few survivors by the time of James Cameron's TITANIC (90's), none of them remembered the sinking in 1912. This earlier version was made in 1958, called A Night to Remember. There were still people alive who survived, some of which contributed as advisors. The final product was disturbingly real to them, sort of like WW2 veterans reacted to the Normandy landing scenes in Saving Private Ryan.

It was superior, IMO, to Cameron's film. All done without CGI and it's excellent.
