Fuck me. This sounds like john Johnson has a bad shoulder injury. Happened when he whiffed on a tackle for a whiner td.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Head coach Sean McVay announced Monday that LG Joe Noteboom will be out for the remainder of 2019 with a torn ACL and MCL. Additionally, CB Aqib Talib will be placed on injured reserve with fractured ribs.
"That's something we haven't discussed yet," McVay said when asked if Talib could return after eight weeks.
Additionally, S John Johnson III is seeking out second opinion on his shoulder and RB Malcolm Brown is day-to-day with an ankle injury.
With Johnson, McVay said Marqui Christian would start in his place should he miss extended time. Troy Hill, who started in Talib's place against the 49ers, will continue to do so in his absence.
Regarding Noteboom's replacement, McVay said they would look internally to fill his starting spot. Jamil Demby replaced Noteboom against the 49ers, but McVay also mentioned rookie David Edwards as a potential candidate.
"We'll see if there's guys available maybe to add some depth, but we'll fill the starting spot from inside," McVay said. "Jamil's had a chance to play a lot of snaps, David Edwards is a guy that we have a lot of confidence in. Those are things we're going to work through and we'll figure out as the week goes on."

With talk that Christian and Demby are candidates to replace Johnson and Noteboom, I'm starting to get really concerned.

That's really, really bad news all around. I'd like to see us go sign Zach Brown to play ILB. Reeder isn't getting it done. On the OL, I'd try to trade for an OG. As for Talib, I'd like to see David Long get PT. He's a sticky cover CB, but we'd need to play more M2M with him in.

I was thinking with Long being more of a M2M CB couldnt he man up 1 side and play a zone on Peters side like teams used to do when they had 1 shutdown CB? Or is that asking too much of a rookie? Maybe zone the opponents #1 WR and have Long man up the WR on the other side of the formation.

Let the evaluation for next year begin.

Reeder is a try hard active player.
Is collecting a lot of tackles but too many too far downfield. Might have a James L thing going on.
Not all bad with him.
I think Hagar will have a hard time at least not splitting time with him.

Well fuck, we really got lucky avoiding injuries the past two years. Oh well, I'm curious to see David Long showcase his skills. Seeing Noteboom with an ACL hurts the most though considering he's our LT of the future; that's now in question with him hurt.

If he is actually the left tackle of the future, the future is not very bright.
