I've been saying for the last couple of years... McVay is going to be here a good long while.
The biggest revelations he had coming out of his deep funk in 2022 about himself included the fact that he is, first and foremost, a football coach. He realized that the teaching and the relationships are what really matter to him.. that's why the TV thing is wayyyyyyy on the backburner. I always point to a quote from one of the interviews with him where Veronika says "who are you kidding.. you're a coach" (not verbatim)...
He's a lifer, or at least another decade worth, imo.

Both things can be true. The extension is great. A Top HC in the League. Clock management not his strong suit, yet (hopefully).
Still has more pluses than minuses and i strongly approve of this extension.
I give you two things that are true.

Plusses far exceeded any perceived shortcomings. There’s a reason that so many teams have hired his assistants to be their head coaches. They want what Rams fans already have. We are so fortunate to have one of the best coaches in NFL history. As a long time Rams fan who suffered through the lean years I know the difference between a good coach and a GREAT COACH.
