I realize they got the first down to the 25 yd line, but this would have either been a 1st and 10 around the 13 IF immediately tackled by the D-back, but there's a chance he could have avoided that tackle and scored (D-back was running hard in one direction so one move. I think it was big.

He wouldn't have walked in unless the DB missed him. I watched the all-22 and the DB had great position on him. But there was nobody behind that DB who could have closed quickly enough had he missed. Everybody was way over to the other side. It was a fantastic play call by McVay. Fantastic. LOS was the 27 and he dropped it at the 17. But we have seen him run over Seattle DBs going for a score.

That probably would have scored had he not dropped it but, lot's of game after that. Hawks made more plays than we did. Our Defense came apart down the stretch. Lot's of work to do in all phases in the off season. Good thing is if you can start with having a solid starting O Line, which we do, and a top 10 QB, which we do, you can really attack the off season.

A good player all year but this is a frustrating miss. Had 1 guy to beat and could have gone in.

But after converting on 4th down, the Rams gained another 1st down which gave them 1st and 10 at the 12 ... Same Spot

No play was a bigger swing then X. Smith.

The Woolen un-sportsman-like penalty was also Huge ... for the Rams.

I would agure that the Rams lost because they were 1-for-8 on 3rd downs, compared to Seattle's 7-for-13.
and
The Rams' Offense could not gain a single yard on three plays after being 2nd and 4 from the Seattle 6.
and
The Rams' Defense (disappointing overall) could not get-off-the-field to give Stafford one last possession.

The defender looked like he was ready to make a low tackle at the 12. If Parkinson breaks that tackle he scores. But does anyone really think the defense woulda kept Seattle from scoring in that situation? They didn't score again because they didn't need to.

I don't agree with the announcer that Parkinson "might have walked in," but...
3rd and 1, and he drops an easy pass that would have made the go-ahead TD much easier.

Not much mention of this.
14 point swing between this and XSmith's muffed punt.

It happens.
Not every receiver catches every pass.
Colby Parkinson is an excellent tight end and a great pickup by the Rams.
He's won games for us this year.

It's been said many times that this wasn't a play that lost us the game since we converted on the next play and ended up getting to the 12 a few plays later. We actually ended up benefiting from the drop in the sense that we took more time off the clock by being forced to run more plays. Dumb drop is all it was in the grand scheme of things.

Parkinson can catch coconuts being shot out of a cannon to work on his hands all off season, but I agree his drop as frustrating as it was, was not the cause to why we lost. I am hoping we can retain him since Higs may be leaving.
