The 49ers defensive coordinator has agreed in principle to a deal to become the new head coach of the New York Jets, the team announced Thursday night.

And let me be the first to bid good bye and so long to this lousy Whiner turd.
Gotta admit though he did seem to have Coach Mac's offense figured out as we struggled mightily against his defenses.

This along with when we pack away the Packers in some cold storage facility this Saturday will make it a dang good week. A RAMS WEEK!!!!!

Bringing his one trick pony show of showing defenders how to clamp a WR illegally but so quickly the refs can't see it. Been going on since his days at Seattle. With Sherman leaving and this nonsense leaving we should have easier sledding ahead.

Glad we don’t have to see his dumb during half our games no more! Seriously he’s a DC? Wtf you pan to him half the game for?

I dunno, I like the hiring. The Jets are in need of a strong hand, which he has. And, loathe as I am to say it, the Niners defense has been really good at adjusting to game conditions on the fly during his tenure. I saw someone above say he might be Matt Patricia, but Patricia never proved himself to be a game manager at all in New England.

And lord knows the AFC Least needs all the help it can get in its quest to, for once this century, have more than 1 team that's even remotely respectable in any given year.

Every head coach hire that is not Staley is good news.
Maybe Saleh really was the thorn in our side, we really need to beat the 49ers next year at least once, it has been humiliating the last two years

Meh

I think the jets continued failure just got extended.

Rah rah screamers grate on players pretty quickly... especially when losses start outnumbering wins. Maybe I'm wrong, but my guess is that this blowhard's ceiling is being a DC as long as the team has a HC who has control. This job is gonna be too much for him. There will be lots of screaming though.

I have the same feeling, while he's certainly a very good DC, I don't think he is a good hire as a head coach, for some reason i don't feel it. Jets need a culture change, I don't think he's the guy to bring that new culture.

For the sake of the Jets, I hope it works out. I’m from NJ and have many friends who have suffered like we have.

I’m glad he’s not our problem anymore. He had a lot of talent around him but still had some impressive performances this year when they caught the injury bug. So it’ll be interesting to see if he’s a legit HC or not. Time will tell.
