Well, lets be real. He was the Tayvon stopper. And that punch ball wasn't luck, the guy was a turnover specialist. He is the real deal and it sucks for us.

Really? Tavon drew a 38-yard pass interference penalty on him. You don't deserve a "stopper" label for that.

I'm am not saying he is a bad player. However, all this hype about him stopping Tavon in college is gonna backfire eventually. I can feel it.

Where else was Tayvon? Quite frankly I was more than disappointed with his debut. PI is going to happen, I don't base that on any kind of label. I just don't want people not giving the kid credit for what he did. We can't ignore that he does not play like a rookie and he basically single handily stopped Tayvon from doing anything of worth.

"Well why don't you marry him?"

Slow start for Tavon, but if we learned anything from this game, it's this.
Don't predict SHIT until the end of the season. LOL.

Tavon is gonna have a MONSTER game eventually. Kid's a rookie being asked to play about 30 different positions. Let him get acclimated and confident, and it's all over for the NFCW. He and Cookie are gonna put a high/low suplex on this division, baby!

PI is going to happen- even to the best DB's in the league. And you may not want to give him a stopper label but he sure stopped that TD from Cook. That wasn't luck. He was trying to do that. If you're trying to do something and it works, I'm not going to call that luck.

I thought it was a pretty good rookie debut for TA. Hmm?

This was a tough defense, folks.

Just saying.

+1

He made some tough catches--no drops--and converted a couple of 1st downs. That's while he's adjusting to the speed of the game.

Did I say he was lucky or failed to make a good play on Jared? I just object to this idea that he is a Tavon stopper.

And you two can say all you want about PI's are gonna happen. The point is: he clearly committed the foul, and it had the same effect as a 38-yard bomb.

Give Tavon time to get into his NFL groove. He has a lot on his plate right now play-wise. Let's compare the Honey Badger's next game against Tavon, and let's see just how much of a stopper he is then.

Can we just change his nickname to Honey Bastard?

Who in their right mind wants a nickname Honey "anything" in football?

He'll always be honey pot-head to me.

For that part I was referring to the other guy that was piling onto what you said.

As for Mathieu, I'm not going to say he's a stopper for any particular player but he's definitely a playmaker and will be very good.

No problem. I like high effort players. However, even Tavon looked at this guy at times like, "What the hell is wrong with you?"
