Wow @David Ray that is a stretch. I was looking for information on Josh Walton Kroenke, who I am sure will take over for Stan eventually.
And I firmly believe our beloved Rams will be in very good hands for the next generation. Sorry 49's, the Rams will continue to be big brother for another 40 years. Now go clean up your room or we will give you a punch in the arm.
That "brief" ownership, was hardly brief. It was a nanosecond. Irsay bought the Rams from the Reeves estate in 1972 and immediately traded them to Carroll Rosenbloom for the Colts. Here's what Michael MacCambridge wrote.
"There had been no secret Carroll Rosenbloom had been interested in owning the Rams, but selling his Colts, then buying the Rams outright would have exposed him to a grievous tax hit. Instead he traded his franchise to a man named Robert Irsay, who'd grown up in the Chicago suburb of Skokie, and had earned his fortune in industrial air conditioning and heating. Irsay agreed to purchase the Rams from the Reeves estate for $19 million, then trade the club for the Colts and $4 million in cash. On July 26th, 1972, the team Rosenbloom had built into one of the cornerstones of the city's identity, was dealt for the Rams.
In Los Angeles, the jet-setting Rosenbloom moved seemlessly into the owner's chair. More outgoing than Reeves, he shared a passion for the game and lived and died with the fortunes of his team.
In Baltimore, it would be a much rockier ride. The Colts front office and players had few illusions about Rosenbloom, but they never questioned his commitment to winning. In Irsay the Colts would find an uncultured, self-conscious eccentric who possessed no rapport with players, nor made any clear effort to develop one."
Clearly, the apple didn't fall far from the tree!!!
Since that trade the Colts have won 1 Superbowl (2006) and lost 1 (2009), while the Rams have gone to 5 (2-3). So glad Rosenbloom traded for the Rams!!!!! Reeves, Rosenbloom and Kroenke, Ram fans have been fortunate to have had 3 of the most impressive owners in the NFL.

True. But talk about good fortune???????? We won a Super Bowl and went to two others while she was the owner!!!!!! If you want to strike GF from your memory (and who can blame anyone?), you probably have to strike one of the greatest teams in NFL history too.

Not championing her. She was a terrible owner. But WE as Ram fans had supreme luck 3 times during her tenure. 79, 99 and 2001. Had Rosenbloom lived, I'm sure we would have had even better luck and maybe a couple more Lombardi's. I was simply saying I'm not prepared to fuck off 3 Super Bowl appearances because she was a scheming bitch, lousy owner. It's not quite but somewhat similar to fucking off a Super Bowl appearance, albeit a loss, because we didn't like Goff. And, despite her presence, for this Ram fan, the 80's were a lot of fun with ED, then Everett. That's all in the past but it is part of our history and it wasn't ALL bad. Now we have a terrific owner, an awesome head coach and a consistently good team. I'd still like to see some more hardware in the trophy case.
I was at the last game in Anaheim. About 5 minutes before games end someone dropped a huge sign over the 2nd tier railing. It was a white sign (I think a white bed sheet) with really big block letters in black.
The sign read "Georgia Is A C..nt". I'll go with that!

I was there with you! They played Tom Petty's "I won't back down" and showed clips of the Rams on the screen including Gabe & Fearsome Foursome before the game. I think there were only 28,000 of us there to say goodbye. Zendejas missing the FG and the 3-12 Redskins beating us was just a disaster day for me. It was like I attended my own funeral and nobody showed up or cared. That's why these current times are so precious.
