He should have said “Kupp tweeked his ankle so we took him out of the scrimmage so we could take a closer look at it”.

Low is better than high. Shouldn't be too long of a delay and I'm guessing Kupp will be held out of almost everything until the Dallas game now.

McVay is like the Hoodie in this regard. He's not going to give away injury information freely. I don't mind, I wouldn't want my injury plainly stated for the other team to prepare and take shots at that part of the body. This game is ruthless.

Seems to me that we don't learn about a lot of injuries on the Rams until we find out several months after the season that a player had surgery. It's also a reason to be a little cautious in harshly criticizing subpar performances by Rams players when there may be stuff going on that we just don't know about.

Just to play devil's advocate: maybe Kupp tweaked his ankle during the scrimmage, told everyone he was fine and could continue, and the staff told him to sit down. Later after practice the ankle swelled up more and Kupp got the sprain diagnosis.

McVay was just making comments based on what he knew about Kupp at the end of practice.

A few things here. One, you seem to be assuming that McV had a full medical report when he said this. Two, The Rams aren't obligated to disclose medical information to the press or to the fans. There's good reason for that. Three, it's a low ankle sprain and Kupp will be OK.
