Don’t like someone who has only been with the Rams one year purging from the Rams. Unless McVay initiates it.
Barry had the title of Assistant Head Coach.
Wonder if that title is now added to a young position coach to help retain him. Pleasant, Evero or Henderson could be candidates.

He may have needed to in order to remain working in the league. His time with us may have been over one way or another for all we know.
That's the theory I'm gonna believe.
Maybe he just really really liked working with Staley.
Sometimes friendships can bond when you work closely with someone for a year.
Good for him and likely for us. He was a good position coach but was IMO blocking upward movement because for us I doubt he ever got consideration for DC. Best of luck.

The LB coach was meh to me. I never saw any of them take a big leap. So I am ok with this. I am hoping Chris Shula could move up and prove himself
Think its the DC thing, he's not going to be one here. He has been passed over several times now and can learn this defense inside and out from Staley. Not a bad move on his part honestly.

Yes, but having coordinator and the fact of learning from Staley might have been the reason. I'm not upset about it because McVay can add the supervisory tag to Pleasant or Henderson and most likely make Chris Shula the linebacker coach instead of outside linebacker coach.
Plus out of all the Assistants the Rams could lose, like @NJRamsFan I'm fine with this.
I'm not particularly knowledgeable on who should be the next lb coach, but please get him or her some talent at the LB position.
