No idea but Colin Cowherd does not worry about truth or facts when it comes to his reporting.

Years ago he explained Yankees’ pitcher A.J. Burnett’s struggles as being the result of going through a particularly contentious divorce. The Burnetts were still happily married, and reported no issues.

Colin Cowherd replied ‘Facts … Shmacts!!!’

It's probably a guess based on McVay being irked at him. Not a bad one. I'd go with "he was sulking due to not getting the start" but maybe he's been going through the motions at practice who knows.

Some of the best athletes I've known understood how to prepare themselves better than the "one size fits all" variety of practice.
Pros should know themselves - and what it takes to produce - if they do, they will succeed to the best of their abilities and if they don't - they won't.
Faulk wasn't built like a super athlete and wasn't crazy about practice - but he was self motivated to be great.

Personal note - Few things I loathe more than wasting my time repeating what I know because someone next to me isn't getting it...

Absolutely, and most of them willsay they miss the locker room and game day after it’s over. But they don’t miss Monday's or practice.

Was my first thought.
Jourdan kinda alluded to something being up with Akers & Henderson both being out from practice for the same reason.. then both coming back the exact same day,

I wonder if behind the scenes sources are more direct when sharing info, but don’t do it when writing it to keep favor with coaches and players.

To maintain access to that kind of information, is why.
Not being able to *directly* report it doesn’t mean it can’t come out in other ways.

He forgot to mention the Rams secondary.........dealing with having the #2, #3, #4 & now #5 corner out injured.....along with injured SS Jordan Fuller out.
