Another show that I have watching is The Dead Boys Detective

It's entertaining.

Probably had one of the best representations of Hell that would scare the heck out of me

That shit is crazy. It's like It's A Wonderful Life crossed with Constellation. Sucks my 3-month trial is about to expire. Anyone know how soon you can use another one? :laugh1:

Looks like they might be making another season of Shōgun...

I think I'm gonna go check out Dark Matter on Apple TV+

I am really struggling with Shogun. I get why people enjoy it so much, but the subtitles are killing me. It’s like trying to force myself to pay attention in Western Civilization.

But I want to retain my Up Next list! :laugh1: But, yeah you're right. In the past I have gone a couple months before activating another one. Also helps let the episodes accumulate to binge instead of the weekly torture.

Hulu has an English dub version. Is it not actually all English? My friend said the best way was in Japanese, so I stuck with the subtitles...

Yeah, I was happy to hear this, they are bringing it to LA and using a large portion of the Westworld crew. I think it is appx a 1-year project so could be awhile before it drops

Oh season 2 is in LA? Nice I'm really curious how it's going to go from that season 1 ending.

I finally got around to watching Dopesick.

Wow. Utterly brilliant.

I like the way that, whereas the entire Sackler family looked bad, they didn't treat them as being evil, just sadly misguided. If what we saw was true, I think they really thought they were helping.

Michael Keaton was his usual excellent self, but honestly, I thought Michael Stuhlbarg, playing Richard Sackler, was even better.

There wasn't a dud performance in the entire thing.

My only slight gripe was the frequency of flipping back and forth between the years. Probably a tad too much.

It's truly horrific how much power Big Pharma had and almost certainly still has. It's truly shocking and appalling in a country like the US.

I’m all in, in fact I’m actually re-watching episode 1 before moving on. It is really good.
Also I am vaguely recollecting the og series with Richard Chamberlain as it goes along.

A little late, but I watched The Terror (the horror series taking inspiration from a historical fiction horror series, and damn, if it isn’t one of the biggest gutpunches I’ve had. I got to care about (most; I won’t spoil the guy I absolutely despised - the actor did an incredible job making me hate him. Forget being punished as a boy; he should’ve been whipped in the groin until his junk fell off, and then should’ve been punished as a boy) these men, and the way it ended for them was so realistic and saddening that I cried at some scenes.
