Smith-Njigba wants to be the highest paid WR in the NFL. Not that he doesn't deserve it. But when you say it out loud, all it says is "I know I'm better than Chase, JJ and Puka". You can say what you want but "I should be right up there with Jamar Chase and Jefferson" would be much better.

Like I said "now it begins". Witherspoon should be the top paid CB. Ernest Jones should be the top paid ILB. etc. etc.

Yeah they got like the 5th most cap space in the league this offseason.
And, they have big veteran contracts coming-off the books; and they are not heavily burdened by Void years.

Unfortunately, the Rams are not the only really-well-run organization in the NFL. There are a few others and the Evil-Seahawks are one of them.

A couple big contracts will change that. Top paid WRs, CBs and QBs eat up that cap.
Even with big-$ extensions for Smith-Njigba and Witherspoon, the Seahawks should be in good shape.

Now, if Darnold has another strong season, he could be in-line for a huge deal but they should still be OK.

The current deals for 30+ veterans Leonard Williams, Kupp, Lawrence, Reed, Nwosu and Love (29 at expiration) could all be the final contracts for each of those players. Of course, they would have to be replaced.

That being said, Seattle should have no problem retaining all its top young players.

They will cut into that cap if they resign Walker, Jobe, Bryant, and Shaheen. I don’t see them resigning Woolen.

Its more than a couple big contracts. Hawks have a ton of FAs this off-season

Tariq Woolen, EDGE Boye Mafe, and RB Kenneth Walker III. Other notable unrestricted free agents (UFAs) include S Coby Bryant, CB Josh Jobe, WR Rashid Shaheed, and LB Chazz Surratt, with significant cap management decisions expected for veterans.

I would be thrilled if Seattle lost players they would prefer to retain due to cap restrictions.
However, I just do not see that being the case.

This guy gives a really good overview of the Rams position heading into the offseason vs the Seahawks and some other teams. Rams seem to be in a very good position, and much better off than the Hawks.

He reviews these three categories: Draft Capital, Effective Cap Space & Max Possible Cap Space.

Rams are really good in all three, where the Hawks have cap space but low draft capital.

He mentions if a free agent isn't available for a desired position, the Rams have draft capital to fill that need (or vice versa). If the Hawks can't find a player they desire in free agency, they do not have as many options to fill that need in the draft. This situation can cause the Hawks to have to "pay more" in free agency, overpay to get a player of need, or settle for a lesser player in either free agency or the draft (either way not great for the Hawks).

Rams Are About To Pull Off An INCREDIBLE Move

Dude sounds dumber than Puka, that's all I know...

Which btw - I don't think Puka is actually "dumb" at all. He's easily one of the best WRs I've ever seen but he takes a lot of flak for his immaturity in interviews. People are too critical of him, imo.
JSN didn't come across as very "cerebral" or "mature" here, but he also doesn't seem to have a lot of people waiting for him to fuck up like a bunch of vultures..
