KB just doesn't seem to get any love. Is anyone aware he's 3rd in the NFL for YPR? 600 yards with the worst passing game in the NFL is actually pretty good, it's 23% of the total passing yards. He's made a lot of receptions no one else was making. Some pretty clutch stuff. That pass last week, deep to TA that he caught out of bounds, I bet KB hauls that in.
Dude needs a QB and a WR to take the heat off of him, IMHO. I sure wouldn't cut him, he could be a solid #2 on a sound offense.
A guy like Nate Washington is basically the same kind of WR....except his salary is $970,000 whole Britts cap number is over $4M. The biggest difference is Washington is 5 years older and Britt is bigger. Of course, 5 years is eternity in football terms.
Maybe playin opposite a better WR will open Britt up for the middle passing game he should be able to excel at.
The 18 ypc is nice certainly and I'm not really bagging on him but he needs to be consistent in his production. I am sure the scheme of the O, QB play and the all the rest have profound affects on what he can do. But, and I may be wrong, he has never been a complete receiver.
Ideally the cap money is there so the Rams don't have to cut him or make any other harsh cuts.
I would like to enter the FA/draft with Britt, Austin, Quick (I know, I know) and Marques (#6/ST guy) in place and add to that.
