Very valid points and I can't debate the stats, but I did not think the Steelers defense was that good last year and yes, if not for a fumble by the 3rd string RB, they would've have beaten Denver, but let's not get ahead of ourselves there because they have never beaten Tom Brady.

Anyway as to Coates, he drops the ball nothing Big Ben can do if you can't catch and as to Eli Rogers, we shall see, but I do like him.

If he would have torn it up at Center, with Goff....he would easily have made our team. He hurt Goff, and hurt himself. If he just played Guard, he could....could, have made the team. We needed a Center/Guard type , which greatly helps the game day 45.

Nice observation, I was thinking about that at some point in the game, but it really brought it together for me when I read your comparison to Keenum, that may have a lot to do with one teams success and the others failure, wink wink.

It's not a good idea imho to assume the 9ers are a dumpster fire, or to underestimate any opponent. The 9ers will play strong D up front and run creative plays and formations on O. These will challenge our D to match up correctly with personnel and to show we have grown up in terms of play recognition so we do not give up long plays. Obviously SF lacks playmakers on O, and if we play our A game we will win, but if we turn the ball over or fail to take advantage of scoring opportunities we could lose.

Only one of them won a Superbowl. And those were pretty good teams too. RGIII and Sanchez weren't even kept by those teams that rushed them in. Pushing them onto the field ruined their careers. That's why Ryan can't win a playoff game and everybody is still waiting on Luck. Flacco got lucky once, and fell right back.

Yeah, he was so great they moved heaven and earth to move up for Carson Wentz. But with Sam, Carson Wentz would have been red shirting this year behind Bradford and Daniel, per station contributor and Eagles insider Ron Jaworski. Jaws also said that he would have preferred that Daniel start for the next few weeks, because Wentz wasn't ready, in his opinion.......

Spotrac has it about $2.mil less, and both Austin's & Ogletree's 5'th year option CAP hits had already been counted towards the total 2017 CAP in my earlier estimates. I believe Austin's new 4 year contract begins in 2018 and is extended thru 2021.
I don't have the 2017 5'th year option salaries on hand, so i've been using the Spotrac's figures at WR & MLB.

After 60 years , TOPPS will no longer be producing NFL Trading cards ( They still do baseball and stuff )

I used to collect TOPPS football cards as a kid , and then as I got older , there just got to be way to many different kinds so I stopped , but ever year I would still get the Rams team set , I have every Rams team set since 1968 , but it looks like that run has come to an end

It looks like now , Panini has the exclusive rights to NFL trading cards

This will be the first time in 40 some years , I haven't collected a TOPPS trading card ,and will have to switch to Panini if I want to continue my Rams sets

No more Jerry Lewis Telethon , no more TOPPS NFL Trading cards

All down hill since Martz.

Vermeil and Martz created the perfect offense for a fast track domed stadium.

I can still remember staring in disbelief during one of Spagz first press conferences when he was incoherently babbling on about how he was going to create a "ball control offense", in a domed stadium. What an idiot.

Fisher should be coaching in Chicago, Buffalo, or Green Bay where his preferred plodding and unimaginative offense is not such a hinderance during the nasty weather conditions encountered in winter.

He was also the most impressive qb at the peyton Manning camp.

QB Envy is something all of us long time Rams know too well. But so do most teams in the NFL. Finding the next star QB is what every single team strives for, because without a star QB, winning a Super Bowl is almost never gonna happen.

I remember every QB in that article. I liked some of them more than others... Everett was one of my favorites (named a dog after him "Blade"). Dieter was my least favorite LOL. Regardless, I cheered for all of them.

Goff may not be ready for opening game. Not surprising considering how he was coached in college and with the new CBA restrictions for practices. I'm just thankful that our coaching staff isn't afraid to do what's best for the kid's development... many scared less experienced coaches would cave to the media's lame story lines.

While I'm waiting for Goff's first start, I'm gonna root for our vertically challenged QB Keenum to take care of business for our offense. I know Case will be replaced at some point... but HOT DAMN it's great to know that we have the hopeful cure to all of our QB Envy already on the team. We're preparing the cure correctly guys... it's almost ready.

No way does Malcolm Brown sit IMO. They'll sit Spruce or Longacre or whoever instead.

Can't sit Brown though. If a RB goes down....are they just gonna roll with one RB all game? I don't think so. This offense is too dependent on the run. And Chase doesn't play offense.

I actually agree with this. I don't think that Wichmann and Brown have done anything to lose their jobs. Saffold is the only player on our team who can play left tackle aside from Robinson. Havenstein and Barnes don't need any explanation.
