What happened to the 19 Wide Receivers drafted before Puka Nacua?

Thinking about some of the other Rams receivers stacking up in their draft classes.

1945- Rams draft Crazy Legs and Tom Fears. Hirsch was the first end off the board, led his class in receiving yards. Fears was the 19th end taken, 103rd player overall. He ended up first of the class of '45 in career receptions.

1968 - Harold Jackson went 323rd overall and led his class in catches, yards and TDs. Another Ram receiver that the Hall of Fame has forgotten about.

1983 - Henry Ellard 1st in career catches, yards, and 2nd in TD to Mark Clayton.

1994 and 1999- Bruce and Holt lead their drafts in every category. No surprises there.

2017- Cooper, 7th receiver off the board, also leads his class in catches, yards and TDs.

Perspective...

Kay looks like she has gotten younger. She has to be in her 30s. But looks about 20 in this video. I mean, she worked for the Rams in St Louis and rumor her and Danny Amendola had a fling so she has been around a bit.
Yes, hot in my book. Looks great.

So I had a huge crush on Kay Adams (despite her disdain for the Rams) but she is very different looking due to her cosmetic adjustments. She was hot and super cute. Now she is attractive but the cuteness is gone. There is a point of no return which I hope she avoids but…It looks like it’s heading that way.

Happy Jeff Fisher Fired Anniversary

Some funny comments on Fisher and this FG game really gave some Fisher Feels.

But on the real, this game to me, was one that showed the maturity of Mcvay.

Mcvay, through multiple iterations of this same challenge vs the Niners has learned the lessons through painful losses of how to get the Win.
The niners force you to play their game. They are always a cookie cutter offense playing it safe but a fierce disciplined shutdown defense that makes you impatient until you turn the ball over.

Mcvay has learned to build a more physical team that can grind out hard yards and some physical WR's that pull down some hard catches. He got his QB in Stafford and despite some close calls you could see the commitment to avoid the bad plays, both taking sacks, throwing into trouble etc.

The 3rd and long run call was a huge call in this game and showed Mcvay is still inovating on how to beat the Niners style of defense.

I feel like Mcvay now has a blueprint to beat the Niners after several years of Niner dominance vs us.

These Niners games will always be ugly and force Mcvay to concede his high scoring offense approach in exchange for a smashmouth no turnover game that gives the Rams the best chance for the win.

Do Rams Deserve to Make the Playoffs?

With our young and pieced together defense we can lose to anyone lol. But if we make it to the playoffs and our offense is as healthy as it was against the Bills we can beat anyone even with a shaky defense. When you have an offense that is clicking and you have a defense that can provide pressure you can always beat anyone. Matthew Stafford is a different player in December/January.

We need a little luck the rest of the way but the law of averages has to flip to our side eventually right lol?

Avila... Buffalo Tipping

You Yankees may not have heard of Cow Tipping because it's a Southern Thang.

But now, Avila has stepped it up by a mile with Buffalo Tipping (and the Buffaloes are awake).

Rich Eisen's 2024 ReDraft - Top 10

So, you think McVay prefers more of a move TE? If Higbee is an indicator, then he wants a guy that blocks well and can catch/run.

I think Warren is similar but more athletic than Kraft. I can't say with Mayer, I've never seen him play. Warren runs routes well And he gets separation like move TEs do.

If Warren had come out in the draft last year, he's the PSU TE I wanted the Rams to draft. I know you think this is all Kotelnicki, but the year before when Kotelnicki wasn't at Penn State, Warren split time with two other drafted TEs (Theo Johnson and Brenton Strange) I thought he was the best of the three despite not being the featured guy and not being as athletic as Johnson. I'm not saying Warren is as good as Bowers. Bowers has unusual speed and still can block.

Andy Kotelnicki said that Tyler Warren is the smartest player he's ever coached. That includes every position. That is the type of player McVay likes in his pass game.
Yes. Maybe he's evolved, but I can't help but to go back to his first draft choice, Gerald Everett with Higbee & Johnny Mundt already on the roster. Since then there has been the likes of Brycen Hopkins, Jacob Harris, Davis Allen and the rumored interest in Dalton Kincaid and Brock Bowers.

I could be wrong, but I really believe that if the Rams used a 1st round pick on a TE (After the free agency expenditure on Colby Parkinson), McVay would want someone like Jordan Reed who he had in Washington. Someone with some quicks and speed, who could eventually replace Cooper Kupp as a matchup problem in the slot.

I would love for the Rams to get Warren. I'm just having a hard time seeing them use a 1st rounder on him.

GAME DAY Bills at Rams Game Day Thread

Well yeah, the eagles can run the ball well.. but we gave up 314 yards rushing. That's bad for a college team.. We also gave up 231 yards rushing to the cardinals earlier this year. The run defense has been good a few games but besides that it is been pretty poor. It's a defense in the process of being rebuilt so yes we must be patient - but also we need to call a spade a spade.
Nobody's making excuses for them here. They are better right now at stopping the run than they were in the first matchup vs SF. Guys are more settled in their roles. Brown is playing far better. Good rotation off the bench with Fiske and company.

Doesn't mean any more than that. We know this is a bad defense. But the Rams matched up well vs SF earlier this year defensively and I think will do so again. And our offense is in far better shape up front on top of that.
