Acts of Kindness Thread

The Story of Joey Romano and Beni Lukumu

Joey Romano was a college freshman when he broke his wrist trying to avoid a car while skateboarding. Worried about insurance, he called an Uber instead of an ambulance. Beni Lukumu was the Uber driver in question, helping Romano get comfortable, and when his injury turned out to be more serious than urgent care, took him to the hospital. Lukumu not only drove Romano there for no cost, but when he realized that Romano had no nearby family to help him, Lukumu, having immigrated from the Democratic Republic of Congo at a young age and feeling a kinship, stayed with him, signing him in and staying six hours with him, and when Romano's grandmother offered payment, he politely turned it down, but agreed to join them for dinner.

Romano was going through a horrible point in his life at that point as well: grief over his ten-year-old brother, Johnny, passing from leukemia, and that friendship cemented a goal for Romano to help people thanks to that act of kindness by Lukumu. Lukumu now works in the insurance industry in Austin, Texas, while Romano is a renewable energy developer, and they've kept their friendship intact for seven years and hopefully much longer.

OFFICIAL 2025 Rams Injury Thread

If Kendrick drew a penalty for taunting the Seattle sideline, that would be PERFECT because he plays for Seattle.

In addition to being a weak and undisciplined football player, Kendrick is a moron.

That was after his first interception as a Ram. It was against Seattle, he picked off the QB, and he taunted the sideline, getting a fifteen-yard unsportsmanlike conduct/taunting penalty in the process.

Kendrick is one of the few McVay-era Rams I never liked, and his ego for his lacking and heavily-undisciplined football skills is one of the main reasons why.

CELEBRATE !! Another Successful ROD Occupation Celebration Thread!!!!

Imagine having to explain that to every HS and youth football coach. Yeah, I know, we used to get stickers on our helmets for hits like those.

Rules have changed to lengthen players careers. Worse then that, a bill was introduced to ban tackle football until at least HS in CA about five years ago, and then again in 2023.
Typical California

GAME DAY MNF - Bucs at Texans / Chargers at Raiders

The NFL is such a wonderfully brutal sport for fans ... Great, Exciting Wins ... Heart-breaking, Brutal Losses.

Ain't no sport like it.

Oh sure, @Loyal will argue that Curling is more exciting ... but he just watches it for the T&A ...

The Financial Hack That Built the Eagles Into the NFL’s Super Team

Saw a video on it recently. Basically, Phillly is betting the cap goes up by like double due to a new TV deal coming soon. Also, he sold a percentage of the team to get the money. Seem to have been a good move though as the value of the team has dramatically increased AND they have kept their talent together.

But all this talk about their GM being the greatest ever is ridiculous if you factor in what is essentially a no cap situation.

Josh Karty a weapon on kickoffs

That knuckleball is a thing of beauty when he gets it off. Hopefully it becomes more consistent with practice but it really caused some issues yesterday for the returner on several occasions and gave our coverage an extra second. Wouldn't be surprised if that ends up being a score for us one of these days when returner has it bounce through his hands and behind him.

Sanders Poll

I have always hated Deion and his I am to good to do the dirty work and look at me attitude. I wanted so bad for someone to lay him out, but he felt he was to good to tackle anyone so it never happened. Now, it is to bad his son has to lay in the bed his father shit in, but Deion finally got his ass kicked.
I can remember hating on this Atlanta Falcon kid so.......bad.........
I remember seeing him pick off a Rams QB (Miller ?) and doing that hand behind the head high step along the Rams sideline. I used to dream of some Rams 8th string backup center coming off the bench and close lining him by the neck so hard he layed on the ground and did not move.
Now seeing the video of Dion's kid, his room and all that bling, rich kid with this giant attitude that his play could not back up. He makes me want to puke and seeing him fall, humbled is nothing short of glorious.

My son caught these Snook yesterday. Frying these up after the game.

Snook are one of the best tasting fish in the ocean. You can’t buy the meat though... not allowed to be sold commercially, so most people never get to taste one. Super mild white flakey meat... zero fishy taste.

A snook? Why it is preposterous. One fish two fish, red fish, blue fish.

Rams PFF grades: Best and worst performers vs. Texans in Week 1

I am concerned about Limmer at LG. First off the Eagle game might still be in his head, plus although an excellent run blocker, Limmer is a sieve in pass protection and I truly wish they would go with Dedich over him or even give Wyatt Bowles an opportunity because I have no confidence after the Texan game in Limmer protecting Stafford.

The knock on Limmer coming out of the draft and why he slipped was because of his inability to play Guard, most felt he was a center only and now he is playing guard. Hope I am wrong and Limmer answers the call come Sunday Morn.
Well good call, and glad The Rams listen to you putting Dedich in at LG.I think I was sort of on the same page.
