Researchers out of the University of Glasgow in Scotland, along with folks at the Scottish SPCA, found that reggae and soft rock topped the canine charts, though certain dogs do seem to have various tastes.

Classical music had a calming effect on dogs. Heavy metal boosted anxiety and unrest in dogs.

Good stuff PT.

I've obviously witnessed this 1st hand. My parrot also really enjoys reggae... he likes blues too.

Had another roadie to LA and back this weekend which affords me at least 11 hours, roundtrip, of listening time. Since I made the trip in my satellite radio free truck I grabbed a few CD's (y'all remember those, right?) for the trip. Around 12:30 am I was cruising through some wispy fog near Morgan Hill when I grabbed a random CD. See if you catch the Genesis rip-off...

...It starts at the 13:03 mark...

Is that Peter Gabriel under that mask? Nah, but close enough. Always liked Marillion.

I saw the cassette tape edit.:p My truck doesn't have a tape player, only CD and radio. My car has satellite, AM/FM, CD, tape, but no aux/Bluetooth music. First world problems...;)

I have a cassette player/CD player(which doesn't work) in my 2000 Toyota Solara. There are cassette tapes I recorded in the 70's and 80's that still work just fine. I have a VCR in the basement, no cell phone, and a record player. But I also have a DVR player, Netflix, and a state-of-the-art computer. All the comforts of home, the old and the new. :)
