It's not an alcohol based drink, but I can make a cappuccino on par with the best coffee shops.

And this may not be all that new, but I make my mimosas with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice instead of orange juice. It's gotta be fresh squeezed. Way better to me than orange juice because it's not sooooo sweet.

I'm going to try that........

One thing I've noticed about your food posts, and from eating a couple of things you made. You really enjoy BIG hits of flavor, there is nothing subtle about your chow. You KNOW you are eating something.

Umm. @CGI_Ram ............ a cappuccino? You're embarrassing you Mother Country with that shit. This is a booze thread. Can't you at least toss out a wobbly pop, you're Canadian!!!

Where are the admins when you need them hahaha!!!

Yep. I used to make a mixture of crushed red salt (you lived in Hawaii - you know), cayenne, and lime powder. I tried Habanero but it stung the corners of my mouth too much. Really unpleasant.

I've made margaritas with a fresh Habanero thrown into the blender. That was really good yet very hot. Watch out because the alcohol seems to open up the heat. I went to a restaurant that served Scorpion Chili Margaritas. One time I had them and they were really freaking hot. The next time I ordered one - I crap you not - I had the hiccups after the first sip and I thought I was going to die about half way through. He took it back and made two more margaritas with it and neither Becky nor I could drink those. I have made sauces with Scorpion Chili and it has to be the most inconsistent chili next to the Jalapeno. One thing you know is that it is going to be hot. What you don't know is if it is going to be heart stopping.

BTW - I'll be posting my Margarita recipe later. It is ultra simple and dangerously tasty.

We put 1 fresh jalapeño and 1 fresh habanero in the blender when we spin up margs. It's a must!

Cammy and I fill up our large Yeti Ramblers with margaritas mixed like this. I think they hold 32 ozs... maybe it's more... but it's a lot. Frozen of course. No cayenne on the rims with these though cause the lids don't allow for it. We take these out with us on the kayaks... we know when to return when our margs are almost empty.

DonJulio clear tequila!

I used to pour a pint of vodka in to a Big Gulp cup at 7-11, and fill it with mountain dew or Pepsi and then drink it.
On my way to work.
At 5:30 am....

Needless to say, it been 15 years since my last drink.....

Old fashion.
Bourbon, a few dashes of bitters, a little simple syrup or tsp sugar and ice. With or without the twist.(i usually skip it)

I also like a bloody beer now and then. Beer and Clamato.( clamato is actually very good with beer) A friend recently bought a bottle of Ojo Rojo. It's a pre-made, spicy, bloody Marry mix that is fantastic. I usually use this in place of Clamato as of late.

Chocolate White Russians, man.
Got an actual recipe? I love White Russians. But that looks extra tasty.

Is that really all there is to an Old Fashion? I make several different simple syrups. I may have to make that for the wife.

OK - Here's my ultra super simple killer Margarita recipe.

I have a 6 cup blender so if yours is a different size, alter the recipe accordingly.

1/2 can (6oz) frozen lime-ade
Ice to about 1 inch from the top
Triple Sec to just below the 2 cup line
Tequila to the 4 cup line or a bit more if you dare
Blend
For a good kick - throw in a Hapenero or two or if you don't have any, sprinkle in some cayenne or ground red pepper.

Now I know this sounds like a lot of ice...

Seriously though, obviously with the ice and limeade in the pitcher, there is not 4 cups of alcohol in there. That would get your wife or girlfriend drunk too fast to be fun. This recipe does not require a really expensive tequila. Save that for sipping or if you want to give it a nice little float.

But once you try limeade and see how good and simple it is, you will never use a Margarita mix again.

Cheers

Edit: When I say half can (6oz) that is a half of a 12oz can. Just wanted to clarify.

I like the idea of the Chile in the Maragarita. I prefer mine on the rocks. I think I'll try the cayenne pepper in it next time.
Maybe put it in the salt. Which is a must for me.

I have some orange bitters. Funny though. I love bitters in drinks but don't care for bourbon. My wife is the whiskey fan but hates bitters.

Oh fer fuck sakes. I am cutting up your guy card, you may reapply to the fraternity in no less than 30 days. In the interim, you may make your queer coffee drinks, nance around your garden in a skirt and listen to show-tunes.

I don't always drink whiskey, but when I do I like scotch on the rocks. Perhaps I lack sophistication, but I prefer blended scotch myself - Johnny Walker Black and up - never that red swill. Once a year me and a buddy get together for a "hookers and blow weekend" at the casino and we get a bottle of JW Blue. Good shit.

I can drink the shit out of top shelf scotch and never get a hangover. Yet, two draft beers give me a headache.

We went to a restaurant for breakfast on vacation in Maine last summer, and the fast talking waiter convinced me to try a bloody mary with what he called "white whiskey". Now I like a well made bloody mary, but I think he just went in the back and pissed in the glass, threw in some ice and V8, and served that shit up. It was fucking terrible. I learned I prefer my whiskey dark, like my men.

I like both. Cherry bitters are also pretty good in it.

Success! Well... in a bastardized sorta way. I had some homemade Red Currant Blossom simple syrup, some orange bitters, and Jameson. 2 parts Jameson, 1/2 part simple syrup, and a few shakes of bitter. That's pretty good stuff.

I drink Irish breakfast tea but looking at what this thread is about I doubt it's what you're referring to.

This has been my bourbon of choice lately.
