I don't know how to narrow this down to just one, seems every week we could add a new name (or a dozen) to an already very long and growing list. It might be a tiny bit easier to build a list by decade, as each has had its bounty of beautiful starlets. I worked for the industry as an owner of a location Motion Picture Catering Co. from 1984 until I retired a couple years ago, and can tell you that today there are 10,000 unemployed beauties in Hollywood for each known star since the 1920's. For those living in the L.A. area that have been anywhere near a dance studio, an acting class, a gym, a community theater, a beach or an open cattle call, you might wonder where did all these girls come from. Even going to a supermarket or restaurant within walking distance of a film studio will be shocking if you're not a local. L.A. still attracts beautiful wannabe actresses & models from all over the globe, and many are gifted dancers and actors, but there are only a few jobs for each of the thousands of head shots which are distributed every day. Wonder why porn actresses are getting prettier by the day ? The San Fernando Valley is the home of the largest porn companies in the U.S., and many of these young girls can't compete for mainstream studio work because it's a numbers game.
OK, enough of the rant. I haven't seen anyone mention Jennifer Lawrence yet, so i'll throw her name into the mix. Maybe not the hottest of all the beauties, but a great talent and a body to die for. She has that girl next door, tom-boyish kind of appeal, great open personality and funny as hell, ... and she's a natural, doesn't pretend to 'airs' and doesn't need to load up on the make-up to look good. jmo.
