OK - Pizza is really subjective. I have never had pizza in Buffalo but I have had it all over NY, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and SoHo and I gotta say - I don't get the love. I love a thin crust pizza but I have had so many pizzas that were far better than what I had in NY. I didn't try any in FL so I have no reference there. But seriously - with how things are today, you can find awesome Cajun on the SE of Portland, you can find incredible prawns in North Platte, NE, INSANE BBQ in Toledo, OR, and the list goes on. BTW - I make a buffalo method wing with 14 sauces that I will put up against anything I had in Buffalo or the rest of NY.

Generally, I'm not an Italian restaurant guy because probably the most consistently disappointed I have been in restaurant food is at Italian Restaurants. Why must they dumb down their spices and flavors so? They don't do it in their kitchens at home. I get the expense thing and the taste buds of too many Americans but seriously, they almost all do it. Doesn't mean I'm not willing to try some toasted ravioli and I love a good lasagna and real Italian sausage.

But pizza might be one of those things I have a slice of - maybe more if there is something extraordinary about it.

I really like tapas and/or appetizers. My wife and I are always going out and ordering a bunch of small plates so we can get all sorts of flavors in one sitting.

BTW - for the record, there will be four of us on Saturday and Sunday.

Seriously though, my boys and I rarely get to get away just on our own let alone with my dad too. We're going to all hang together wherever we go unless someone maybe gets tired and wants to head back to the hotel or something like that. But for the most part, we are going to be thick as thieves.

Just found out my cousin from SC is in STL for the weekend because her son is graduating boot camp from Ft.Leonard Wood. Think the ceremony is Saturday so might try to meet up with them
