Listen to what is said from about 0:22 - 0:38 seconds in...

He's a player defences HAVE to account for - stick him in motion and you can cause mis-match headaches. I seriously think McVay is salivating at the idea of scheming FOR him and the Rams will reap the rewards, and we as fans will be smiling. This is what he brings:

Here's the rub.

Our offense, especially last year, was so historically bad that it makes evaluating anyone difficult. That is why it will be incumbent upon the coaches to properly evaluate the players.

We've seen that some players were shipped out or released in this effort. Tavon's contract likely makes him untradeable at this point, but I think that McVay and staff see a player with skills they can work with.

I'm not ready to dump anyone, even Quick, based solely on the gross ineptitude of the last coaching staff to develop offensive players.

Even Gurley regressed. Now, I don't think it was ALL scheme and bad coaching, but I do think that was a big part of it.

Yes, the guys who went on their way from the offense were Britt (probably because he was looking for more than we wanted to pay), Kendricks (same as Britt), Quick and Cunningham. The one thing that I worry about is Britt and Quick were two big guys who blocked well in the run game. Having said that, Woods also excels in blocking, though he doesn't have the size of those two.

I'm curious to see how they use Austin, Cooper, Woods, Higbee, Hemingway and Dunbar. And who knows, in a real offense one or two from the group that includes Thomas, Marquez, North, McRoberts and Spruce might surprise a lot of us.

Tavon is going to have 2,000 yards receiving, 1,200 yards rushing, 8,000 yards returning kicks, and 57 total TD's. Mark my words.*
