HE WITH HORNS pointing out the problem:
I said I was going to take all the guys that slid down the board. You doubted me?
Somehow I thought you meant the players I didn't want. Even now, that makes more sense to me.

Tell you what, I'll trade you Washington's 4th rounder and their 7th rounder for Easley. That's a really good deal for you IMO.

While we're waiting I've got to mention something that just bolsters my belief that the first 3 rounds is the only rounds you can reasonably expect to get a starter or soon to be starter quality player. I don't know about everyone elses list of those players but mine is almost empty. By the time the compensatory picks are finished my list probably will be too. I'm mentioning this because of the talk about drafting a QB in the third round or higher. We need to draft some answers at our holes if we're going to compete against the teams in our division. Plus of course all those other lesser teams. We have four major holes IMO and that's not counting OLB or WR. I don't want to draft a QB until at least the 4th round.

KC recap to this point (needs CB, WR, OL) six picks-no 2:

#23. CB Verrett, TCU. Chiefs secondary was stout the first half of the season but injuries to pass rushers lengthened their cover times and big plays against them became the norm down the stretch. Verrett will strengthen and add competition to a fairly solid secondary unit.
#87. OT Mewhort, OSU. Chiefs lost three part time starters. As a minimum, Mewhort will be the swing tackle, could start at RG or RT. Lucky to get him in the 3rd.

Bengals recap to this point (DE, WR, OL) nine picks:

#24. WR M Lee, USC. AJ Green and M Jones are very good but need some help. TEs can be very good also. Explosive Lee will make this a formidable group early.
#55. OT Tiny Richardson, Tenn. 88. As a minimum, Tiny will be swing tackle and essentially replace the loss of LT Collins. LT Whitworth and RT A Smith are fixtures. Look for FA G/T Newhouse (formerly GB starting RT) to start at RG. Tiny has all the tools, has a huge upside, came out early and somewhat raw.
#88. DE Jeffcoat, Texas. Put up big #s in college throughout his career (86 tackles, 22TFL, 13.5 sacks in 2013). Light in the pants, a bit stiff. W Gilberry (7 sacks) and M Hunt will compete for the vacated DE Michael Johnson's spot. Jeffcoat can pin his ears back and provide immediate pass rush help in the rotation. The trick will be putting weight, strength and acumen on his athletic, 250 lb frame while keeping his 4.63 speed.

Well to be honest, 12inthebox probably looked at the draft order yesterday(before we decided to add comp picks) and realized he wasn't drafting again until the 5th rd.

I wonder if 12intheBox knows that we decided to add in the compensatory picks? He might be thinking he has a long time until he has to pick. Perhaps someone in management who has his email might send him a message.

We had a nice rhythm going too. Our GM's were starting to get a good feel for when they needed to show up to make their picks.
