I've been a Rams fan since 1986 when I first started watching the NFL on British TV. My friends mostly picked the Bears, Redskins, Dolphins or the one in Northern California. I don't like following the herd, so I picked what I thought would be quite a good team that nobody else was supporting. It has been quite a mixed ride, but I've stuck with them. I had the good fortune to spend a year working in California, and managed to get to a game in Anaheim. Sadly, it wasn't a great game, although the Rams did win 10-6 after a late drive by replacement QB TJ Rubley. I also got a speeding ticket in Ventura on the way down, but it was great to actually see them play. I was tempted to go to the London game versus the Patriots but the timings didn't work. Probably just as well, given how badly the game went. Anyway, I lurked on the Ram Stalk board for a few years and joined the mass exodus over here a couple of months ago. I had been here a few times before (and marked my location on your map a couple of years ago). I would probably still be lurking rather than posting if I could still read the threads without, but now I'm registered I might ask a few questions.

Big up the UK massive. Or whatever much cooler people say.

Welcome to the ROD Woody, Sappy, Limey, Viper, RAMpage, Jon, Pete & azcards! (y) :welcome:  :sup: :lifting::seizure:
We're glad you guys decided to take our not so subtle hint and join our community. ;) :) We certainly hope you'll enjoy the experience. :)
We also have a members map where you can pin your location (for those who haven't done it already).
We frequently use blue font when we're just joking around so if you come across something in that font color don't take it at face value (except when applicable).

The difference of the degrees in which the individuals of a great community enjoy the good things of life has been a theme of declaration and discontent in all ages.

I am actually more of a CFB fan, but I am starting to watch more of the NFL, particularly the teams that have some of my favorite players on them. I've never been happy about the Cards moving to AZ, but I'll support the STL sports teams. My mother is a big Rams and SB fan.

I joined the boards mainly to keep up with the progress of Joyner and Reid, two of my favorite Noles. I hope they win over the rest of the fans. They have always played much bigger than they are, although they have both been beaten by giant receivers in the past.

bcherod coming out of the closet:

I'm actually a big Closet Foosball fan myself. Our local league is finding it really hard to find a closet big enough to hold two teams and our fans at the same time. :( Needless to say, most of our local fans like the tailgating experience before the game better than the game itself. Our only saving grace is that by the time all the beer is drunk and the trash talking has started to repeat itself, we often forget to play the game but nobody notices. (y) Plus somebody sat on the foosball table so...we pretty much just do the tailgating now.

We're glad you decided to join our community but even more glad that you seem to have inherited many of your mother's genes. You should try and convince her to post here too.:)
We also have a members map where you can pin your location. Failure to do so will result in dire (but unknown) consequences. :notsure:

Glad to be a recent newcomer to the ROD family. Before signing on a few days ago, I was a dedicated lurker. Before that, I lurked over at another board but left after getting frustrated at nearly every thread turning into a p---ing contest after two or three worthwhile comments. Things are much more congenial over here, thank you! I'm living in central Pa. and grew up just outside of Philly, so for me the Eagles are that "second favorite team" that every NFL fan seems to have. But I've loved the Rams since watching the likes of Roman, Merlin, and Tom Mack on my parents' black-and-white TV.

Hey Everyone. I'm Don and I just love this site - especially reading Coach O's reports. Had to sign up instead of just being a peeping Tom thanks to your creative new rules. Guess I'll be throwing in my 2 cents now every once in a while - be careful what you wish for. I love the direction Fisher's taking the Rams. I think they are a year away from being Super Bowl contenders. Hopefully they get some playoff experience this year. Been a Rams fan since the Jack Youngblood days, but live in New York, so this site is a necessity. Appreciate hearing all your opinions and info.

That new rule is pretty benign, wait until you try to post something and have to follow this one: Think Before You Post... That one has cut my posting down by about 85%. Give or take 15%.
You can probably manipulate one of those two pictures and use it as your avatar until you can find something decent.

We also have a members map where you can pin your location.

I am a 50 year old man with a wife and two adult offspring. I was a die hard football cardinals fan growing up and have been a rams fan since they came to St Louis. My favorite sport is football (of course), followed by soccer and then baseball (blasphemy is St Louis). I have been a Brian Quick advocate since he was drafted because I like players who have the talent, work effort and a desire to improve. He embodies those traits but has been vilified by some who want to penalize him for where the Rams drafted him or how much he is paid. I also like the underdog. My favorite St Louis Rams players are Aeneas Williams and Jackie Stater as I have met both and they appear to be better human beings than they were players. Never met Kurt Warner or any of the other Rams that might be considered favorites.

I guess I should have made it known, I'm a female that was raised on Alabama football, and I am a Seminole. I hope that doesn't upset the gator too much. :)

Hello peeps,

My name's Rob, I'm from Wellington, New Zealand. Got into NFL pretty hard a few years ago (New Zealand's all about rugby, but I'm not a rugby fan).
Studied up on the Rams' players etc and decided they are the team for me. Young, full of potential, beleaguered by bad luck, up against poser teams like the 49ers etc - my kind of team!

This board seems really cool too, which helps.

A joke for you:

“Doctor, I have this pain in my chest.”

“Well, you’ll have to stop masturbating.”

“Why?”

”I’m trying to examine you.”
