RAMS VS. PACKERS

i
St. Louis Rams: The up-and-down nature of the Rams makes it difficult to project which team will show up week-to-week, but their ability to limit big plays will be put to the ultimate test against Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay.

In last week's upset, the Rams needed three takeaways to knock off the Cardinals. But it's a pretty good bet that Rodgers and the Packers -- with a league-low one turnover the first four weeks -- won't make the same mistakes, especially at home. Packers 27, Rams 20 -- Nick Wagoner

i
Green Bay Packers: Rodgers never has gone this deep into a season without throwing an interception. That streak could end against a Rams defense that can put pressure on quarterbacks with the best of them -- it ranks tied for second in the league with 17 sacks.

But the way the Packers' defense is playing, it won’t be enough to end Green Bay’s Lambeau Field winning streak, which will reach 12 after this one. Packers 27, Rams 13 -- Rob Demovsky

St. Louis Rams at Green Bay Packers

The up-and-down St. Louis Rams are on a high after their surprise win over the Arizona Cardinals this past weekend, but they're bound to come crashing back down to earth with a visit to Lambeau Field.

Alas, the Rams travel to a venue where the Green Bay Packers have been nothing short of dominant in the last few years. They are 2-0 against two solid ballclubs (Seattle and Kansas City) at Lambeau in 2015, making them 11-of-11 at home dating back to 2014.

Even more worrisome for St. Louis is the fact that Aaron Rodgers just doesn't turn the ball over at home. He's in the midst of an all-time NFL record, throwing more than 480 straight passes there without an interception.

Rodgers taking care of the ball has been a game-changer for Green Bay, as head coach Mike McCarthy told the team's official Twitter account:

Green Bay Packers
✔@packers

McCarthy on Aaron Rodgers taking care of the football: It's always been a focus, & he's doing the best job that he's done.

The Rams have a boisterous front seven capable of giving Rodgers some trouble, as St. Louis sacked Arizona's Carson Palmer four times last week—the Cardinals had given up one sack on the season prior to that game. The same can't be expected, however, against the Packers at home.

For all of St. Louis' formidability up front, its weakness on defense is still in the secondary, which Rodgers will exploit.

Prediction: Packers 31, Rams 21

After his “Hello, NFL” fourth quarter in Arizona, I’m looking forward to the next chapter of Todd Gurley’s introductory tour. We know the Rams play up to the pedigree of their opponent, so that spells seeing St. Louis’s best at Lambeau Field. But even if Janoris Jenkins channels his inner David Tyree again, I can’t see the Rams scoring enough to match points with the NFC’s best offense. The Packers are headed for their first 5–0 start since their 15–1 team of 2011.

The Packers might not be stout against the run, but the flaw hasn't beaten them to this point. And actually, they looked stout last week against Carlos Hyde, who managed just 20 yards on eight carries. Can the Rams' defense keep this game close enough to let Todd Gurley run wild?

San Francisco was able to keep Aaron Rodgers in check, but couldn't muster the offense to control the clock or get into the end zone. St. Louis would need a big Tavon Austin return and 160 yards from Gurley to beat the hottest team in football. Green Bay hits 5-0. #STLvsGB

I don't know how. And I can't find one reason to pick us, but for some stupid reason, I've been beating the odds lately. So here goes.....

Rams 20
Pack 19
39 total
We get to Rodgers 5 times and create 2 turnovers (from him) and another from the rest of the GB team.

You must be closest to the combined final correct score of both teams and pick the winning team. For example: Rams 30/Packers 0 = 30 points. The winner gets $10,000 ROD dollars from the ROD bank which can be used for making bets in the Sportsbook section. Good luck!

Unless someone objects, this week's winner is @RAGRam with the closest score of Rams 10/Packers 28=38 points. The finals score was Rams 10/Packers 24=34 points. Congratulations!
