Morning Ram-blings: Closer to a move?
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/15821/morning-ram-blings-closer-to-a-move

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- It's been two whole days since we started the Ram-blings with something related to the St. Louis Rams' potential relocation to Los Angeles.

But with it being Super Bowl week and commissioner Roger Goodell speaking to the media later this week, it wouldn't be a surprise to see more on the topic coming out as the week goes on. One story that is making the rounds that's worth a read is from NFL.com's Albert Breer.

Breer wrote Monday afternoon that the NFL has been involved in every step of the process with Rams owner Stan Kroenke's Los Angeles stadium plan. There is not a ton of new ground broken in the story, but the discussion of the NFL "quietly applauding" Kroenke's Los Angeles efforts should be eye-opening. It specifically mentions the Rams presenting the project to Goodell in December.

Throughout the rest of the piece, Breer explains that while there are guidelines for relocation in place, if the league wants to put the Rams in a palatial new stadium in Los Angeles owned by Kroenke, then that's exactly what it's going to do.

It's a refrain I've repeated here for quite awhile and I still believe to be true. Rules, guidelines, bylaws, whatever you want to call them, if the league sees Kroenke's plan as best for business, then that's the plan that will be implemented. That shouldn't surprise anyone who has been paying attention.

A roundup of Tuesday's Rams stories appearing on ESPN.com. ... The Ram-blings opened the day with a look at the PFF project on "missing pieces." ... We then updated the Rams' ongoing offensive coordinator search. ... The Rams finished ninth in Rick Gosselin's annual special teams rankings. ... The No. 4 play that shaped the Rams' season was San Francisco receiver Brandon Lloyd's 80-yard touchdown on "Monday Night Football."

Elsewhere:

The Rams weren't the only team to miss out on Rob Chudzinski, who is staying in Indianapolis.

Important note from the Los Angeles Times that the Inglewood stadium petition gathered 20,000 signatures to help fast-track the plan.

At 101sports.com, Breer added further context to his story by discussing with The Fast Lane.

At stltoday.com, Bernie Miklasz offered his take on the latest Rams and Los Angeles news.

Miklasz also discussed those Nick Foles to the Rams rumors.
