Well we could talk about what happened here there or yonder......but I think the 3 pivotal plays all have to come to one conclusion......

T. J..... T. J.....T. J.........
The kid turned the game around.

#1. So with 3.27 left in the 2nd quarter. TB lines up to punt it away to us. At the time, our offense wasn't really throwing the ball down the field, so for us to get points to end the half we'd be far pressed to move the length of the field. But T. J. McDonald steps outside, setting the outside blocker up and then darts inside once the blocker moves to cut off his perceived path. Then a few quick steps and T. J. get a piece of a punt, which flutters short of the line. Where TB's RB Mike James fields it, but then Reynolds makes up for his own punt snafu in week one by joining w/ others to get James down before he can get to the first down marker. Rams ball and we get a FG before half.

#2. he first play of the 4th quarter starts w/ TB lining up for a chip shot FG to give them a 4 point lead. Once again lining up on the Rams left side he cuts inside the outside blocker and blocks the FG. Ray Ray Armstrong picks it up weaving back and forth for a 20 yd. gain. Rams ball on their own 24. It would lead to a go ahead FG by Zuerline.

#3. 20 seconds left in the game and McCown takes the snap from their own 39 and finds rookie WR Evans down the middle for 29 yards to the Rams 32 to seemingly give the Buccaneers a chance at a go ahead FG. But once Evens wraps up the ball T. J. McDonald rattles him with a wicked but legal hit which propels him back and to the ground, momentarily stunning him. Evans couldn't get up right away causing the TB trainers to come onto the field. With no time outs the referees huddle to see if there's a way to hose the Rams and hand over a potential victory to the home team. But finding no alternatives to fall back on the Referee Jeff Triplette declares a 10 second runoff is required for an injury the last 2 minutes of a half w/o any time outs. W/ only 8 seconds left the game is declared over.

The man of the hour is T. J. McDonald for his play at Tampa Bay. This could be one of the next stars in the making, but we'll see as he's definitely shown up this year, but there's a long ways to go. Good job none the less.

An honorable mentions goes to McLeod's interception on the Rams 2 created by the strong rush by Laurenitis. And of course for the back breaking catch by Pettis for 27 yards on a 3rd and 9 from our own 48 to the TB 25. And Austin Davis for standing in and making a strong throw for him to snag, setting up the winning FG.

Bravo to all this week.

That's exactly what happened there. They would have loved to find some way to screw us on that play, but couldn't really get away with it.
