Not a chance, Mannion can go to PS if they want to keep 2 QB's, which I actually think is probable.

No chance they put Mannion on the PS, they would not take the gamble he would be claimed and off the roster before the paperwork was done to put him there.

One brief practice report has changed the game? Not trying to be critical of Goff but just stating facts; I've been to 5 of the practices in Irvine, and to both games at the Colleseum. If the Rams were to play the Seahawks tomorrow, I want Case Keenum starting at QB. Jared Goff is no where near ready to run this offense against a tough opponent. Keenum consistently makes good decisions and protects the ball (rare turnovers).

Fair enough opinion, and I too have been a Keenum supporter since he got here. I just had a weird feeling today... Call it Fandom Intuition.... That Goff will turn that corner and hit the gas like a Veyron. Can't blame a guy for dreamin'!!

Think about it this way with our devious head coach. Perception from media is Goff has struggled and needs work to get the starting job. Mixed results in his two preseason appearances and more reports he's doing ok but needs to progress. All of a sudden prior to week 3 he starts lighting it up in camp right after a report surfaces that he's the 3rd QB. We go into week 3 and he starts lighting it up as he plays with the first team a lot. All of a sudden after weeks of Fisher feeding reporters the story that he has to work for it and needs to improve he turns it on and boom LA has it's starting QB after a good showing at the defending Champions.

Based on the fact that he has shown great improvement in his one year in the league, he's the all time passing leader in PAC12, he knows how to run an NFL offense and read defenses.

You know things that about 35 people have the talent and ability to do.

There definitely are not 60 guys in the NFL right now that are better and cheaper than Mannion and there are always injuries. Thankfully I have not heard of any QBs going down the first two weeks but there are two more weeks to go so who knows who will need a better two or a starter by Week 1.

Why stash a guy on ps when he is already signed on the rookie wage scale for a 3rd rounder you basically have a built in backuo for cheap, Keenum is gone next year, unless he leads us to a superbowl

Because if you have someone capable of playing that emergency QB role, and have two healthy QB's as your number 1 and 2, and he'll pass waivers, then you now have an extra slot for another position. We have our emergency 3rd QB, we have two healthy guys as 1 and 2, and I think he'd pass through waivers... Maybe he wouldn't, and if that's the case they wont try to put him on the PS.

If there's a risk he'd get poached then I'd say keep him as the third, but if not might as well take the extra roster spot.

I was joking, but fisher did say something along those lines about Mannion being the 2, we all know its Goff job so I look at it as Mannion as the 2 and Case as the 3 because i think they would rather keep Mannion over Case unless like i said we go deep in the playoffs with case.

I seriously doubt you'd see Mannion go to the PS. And I seriously doubt anybody from the Rams have named him the #1 or #2. A lot of smoke this time of year and I'm not talking coming from the San Bernardino valley.
