Let's assume they really do want Mack, and value him that high. So how far down can you trade?

Just for conversations sake. Let's say they really do want Mack, and value him that high.

Imo that puts Watkins, the 2 tackles, Clowney, and Mack as the "elite" talent in this draft imo. That means (assuming the Texans go QB), we can trade down to 5 and still grab one. If the Browns or anyone higher aren't willing to deal, how comfortable you trading down further and taking the gamble that one still falls?

There's still a lot of other talent in the draft. Would you be like it if we didn't come away with one of these players though? For me, if we trade out of the 5 range, we better be getting a sweet compensation if not. And WE BETTER know who that team is taking if they do trade up.

I'd have Barr, Lewan, and Gilbert in the top 10 easily. The wildcards are the three QB's, Mosely, Donald, Evans., and maybe Jernigan or Ford. I wouldn't put anybody else up there, and I wouldn't say all of these guys are elite, but more top 10 guys.

IMO if the Rams love affair with Mack is true and they think he is the best player in the draft you stay at 2 and draft him

How about Ealy? I still think trading as far down as 7 or 8 and you still get one of the top guys because I believe at least two QBs are going in the top 5.

Ford might have medical concerns his back is getting negative reports from a few team medical staffs

Donald & Evans will be top 10 picks Gil Brandt predicts

Ealy could sneak in there, he is a love or hate player, I am finding, but not as much love as hate.

This is what I love in a deep draft, there are too many guys in the top 10, for there to be a top 10. All the guys that I listed, I believe are top 10 prospects, but there is a division in being elite, IMO.

If they do that (I'm okay w/ that) but how do you foresee us getting good OL prospects (where in the draft)?

I think we will pick one high, one in the first round, and one before the 4th round. That is my honest opinion.

Who? We've shown interest in Robinson, Matthews, Bitonio, Martin, Lewan, K. Graff, and Billy Turner. I'm sure they've looked at a lot more guys, but most of these guys are 1 - 2 round prospects. Graff is kind of a sleeper, but Turner is really hot.

I think one will still be there at that point of the draft.

6 right? At 6 we would have an elite. QB, Robinson, Mathews, Watkins, Clowney, then Mack at 6.

I wouldn't go lower than 6 unless I had a trade up in place.

I will predict that the top 3 OL prospects will all be gone by pick 12.
I think that's a reasonable assumption with Martin going shorty after that range. Of course, somebody always drops for whatever reason because you never know what players some teams fall in love with and are willing to move up to get. And since the new rookie pay scale, drafts are more unpredictable to me.

But, but...OL ALWAYS go early, even in a weak draft. Jason Smith is proof of that.

Agree with Dr Ram, we'll see OL going early - Matthews & Robinson in the top 5 - I'm not taken with all of this Mack talk TBH

Yeah, I meant 6. I guess 7 even if the Bucs wanted to trade up for a qb for some reason.
