I filled up last week for 2.59. Drove past the station today and it was the same price ,but they have a bad habit of not changing the road sign, only the price at the pump

$2.06 a gallon over here in Shiloh, IL. For those not familiar with the area, Shiloh is about 20 minutes from downtown Stl. I normally wait until I cross the river in MO to fill up as gas is cheaper there.

$2.82 per gallon here in Pottsville Pennsylvania. Home of Americas oldest brewery,Yuengling beer. And a forgotten shunned nfl championship. It's true, look it up.

I knew a guy form there, and he knew one of the member of the family that owns/runs the brewery.

Small town there for sure.

Yeah, those were the days. Full service meant full service. They even trained all of the attendants on the tire-changing machine. So we really were equipped to take care of any problem. Got a little bit of a commission for every tire (or set of tires) we sold, so there was also some initiative. That was a good job now that I look back on it.

I pumped gas back then too, and the station had 4 pumps, 2 each on 2 islands. One was full serve and one was self serve. Full serve meant exactly that too, just like you are saying, we checked the oil and showed the customer the dipstick if it was low and would sell them oil if needed and put it in. Also did the windshields without being asked. If a customer ever asked to check the pressure in their tires we did that too.

The station had three bays with lifts and a couple of mechanics were always on duty, it was a busy station. So me and the guy who were attendants never really changed a tire or fixed a flat unless all the guys were busy, but we both knew how to do it and did it many times.

2.49 in Central california. Some stations an hour south from here are a quarter cheaper.

Weather's been weird too. Its actually warm for this time of year. I actually had to use fans to cool down the inside temp in the afternoons a few times. Great golfing weather if it ain't raining.

Speaking of gas;

CHEMICAL MAKEUP OF THE AVERAGE FART

● 59% nitrogen, 21% hydrogen, 9% carbon dioxide, 7% methane and 4% oxygen—all essentially odorless. (Less than 1% is what makes farts stink.)

THE STENCH COMES...
● ...from minuscule amounts of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and excrement, which can be smelled at 1 part per 100 million parts air.

THE GAS...
● ...that gives farts that special stench is hydrogen sulfide.

THE MORE SULFUR-RICH...
● ...your diet, the more your farts will stink.

FOODS THAT...
● ...cause your flatulence to reek include beans, cabbage, cheese, eggs and soda.

BEANS, CABBAGE...
● ...mushrooms and onions cause a lot of gas because they contain complex sugars that your body can’t digest.

THROWIN’ HEAT
● Farts have been clocked at a speed of 10 feet per second.

FILL ’ER UP
● 1 quart (or 600 ml) - the average amount of gas a guy with a relatively healthy diet lets out every day
