Hell yeah!

Well deserved for the best punter out there! (And not a bad QB either...!)

Another OUTSTANDING find by Snead & Fisher. Congrats Hekker!

I agree, finding a stud punter and kicker who we can have on the team for many many years may not seem like much to a lot of people, but it is a big deal. Lots of games are decided by field position and field goals.

GO RAMS!!!!

QUINN, HEKKER NAMED TO 2014 NFL PRO BOWL

ST. LOUIS – DE Robert Quinn and P Johnny Hekker were named to the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl Friday to give the Rams multiple players in the game for the first time since 2006.

Quinn, who currently leads the NFL with 18.0 sacks, is the first Rams defender to earn Pro Bowl honors since DE Leonard Little and S Aeneas Williams did so in 2003. Hekker is the first Rams punter to be named to the Pro Bowl since Dale Hatcher went to Hawaii following the 1985 season.

In addition to his place atop the leaderboard in sacks, Quinn is tied for the NFL lead with seven forced fumbles and coaches have credited him with a team-high 15 tackles for loss this season. Quinn also has 34 quarterback pressures and 33 quarterback hits according to coaches. He’s recovered two fumbles and returned one for a touchdown.

Quinn has led a Rams pass rush that ranks third in the NFL with 49 sacks this season. The Rams also rank seventh in the NFL against the run, and Quinn’s presence on the edge has certainly played a key role in St. Louis’ ability to shut down opposing running backs. Now in his third NFL season, Quinn boasts 33.5 career sacks. His 28.5 sacks since the start of the 2012 season is second most among all defenders in that time frame.

Hekker leads the NFL in net punting average this season. His 43.8 net average is the best ever by a Ram and the third highest single-season total in NFL history. Due to Hekker’s high, well-placed kicks, opponents are averaging just 2.9 yards per return against the Rams this season, the second-lowest total in the NFL. Hekker has just four touchbacks in 71 punts and has placed 18 punts inside the opponents’ 20 yard line.

The 2014 Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, Jan. 26 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Wow i knew Pro Bowl pickins have been slim in the Lou for quite awhile but damn...i'm guessing SJ39 was the most frequent lone rep for the Rams since that time?
