Nice! I like the signing. It's his birthday today so that's gotta be sweet.

Not much for this. Price was right but was hoping for a upgrade. Bargain basement shopping.
So when we going to be adding talent to the team, not just bring back the same thing? Just sayin'
We added Tree in the first last year. Not sure LB was in the cards unless it is a pass rush specialist and that really doesn't fit this scheme does it?

Sum1BTRthnU nipping on the cooking sherry:
I think you keep getting too caught up in what your ideal plan is and thinking the Rams are on the same page as you...lol
Not much chance of that.

I know all that SUM. I'm not against the signing and I expected it. ;)

Great oral sex?:mustache:
When I bit through my tongue during my seizure and they sewed ip back together it has a little notch in it. Needless to say I'm a hit with the wife. I'm not bragging mind you, just stating the facts. :coffee:

I was talking in this FA period. We're just bringing the same people back. Dunbar wasn't very good last year. He is limited in what he can do. Was looking for a upgrade. Treading water.

Rams re-sign LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar
By Nick Wagoner
ESPN.com

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10604250/st-louis-rams-re-sign-lb-jo-lonn-dunbar-two-year-deal

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- Little more than an hour after re-signing offensive lineman Rodger Saffold to a five-year contract, the St. Louis Rams brought back another key starter, but without the drama.

Linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar signed a two-year contract worth up to $3.5 million to remain with the Rams on Thursday night, a deal that came without the twists and turns of the Saffold saga.

Dunbar played in 12 games with 10 starts for the Rams in 2013 after serving a four-game suspension to start the year because of a violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

As the team's third linebacker next to James Laurinaitis and rookie Alec Ogletree, Dunbar generally came off the field on third down and played 397 snaps last year. He finished with 39 tackles.

Upon his return, Dunbar figures to fill a similar role. He'd also probably like a return to something closer to his 2012 production when he posted 113 tackles, four and a half sacks, two forced fumbles and two interceptions.

In 2014, Dunbar will be reunited with defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Williams coached Dunbar in New Orleans from 2009 to '11 and was supposed to be his coordinator in St. Louis before the NFL suspended Williams for his role in the Saints bounty scandal.

The Rams officially re-hired Williams as defensive coordinator in February. Dunbar turned 29 on Thursday.

I like the signing, remember, he knows the defense, and can help the younger guys. I also think that Armstrong and Dunbar will essentially split time, and play in different sub packages.

I think he'll play better this year without the distractions of last season.

I love it. He's a stop gap in the best kind of way. Like said, he brings "nasty" and with Greg Williams at the helm, this make a whole lot of sense. I don't see the Rams drafting a LB early unless of course, someone special is staring them in the face at the right time.
