We have a few good ones today. Starting with RB Jim Bertelsen (1972-'76)

He only made it to 1 Pro-Bowl, it should have been more

He did play in 5 Play-off games ..

In those games he had 32 carries for 136 yards and a 4.3 yrd. average.

A very respected RB in his day!

Nice 'reverse' here!


Next man up, RB Dwayne Crutchfield (1984)

In his time with the Rams he had 73 Carries for 337 Yds. And 1 Td. And he played in 1 play-off game.

Next Up, TE Ernie Conwell: (1996-2002)

He also wore # 84

He came to us in 1996, in a Trade with the Steelers, that sent Jerome Bettis to Pittsburg!

On one hand I don't like the Trade, we could have used Bettis! But then we may not have gone after Faulk in 1999. And that would have proven worse!!

He Played for us for 7 Seasons and went to 7 play-off games




Next we have TE Jeff Robinson (1999-2001) He also wore #94. A GSOT Man!

in his 4 seasons with the team he only had 4 Tds.

But he did play in 7 play-off games!

Next we have RB Chris Massey ( 2002-'11)

He Played for us for 9 seasons

And he played in 135 games, but only 1 start!

And my last player of the Day is our Roolie FB Zach Laskey:
All I have are a couple of College photos from Georgia Tech.

I hope he works out for us, I like the idea of using a FB!

* WR - Sean LaChapelle - 1993

" OK! he's not in our Uni, But at least the Card says 'L,A. Rams' and say Drafted #122!" And he played at UCLA!
He played 10 games for the Rams and had 7 Targets w/ 2 rec.'s for 23 Yds./ a long of 14 yards.

Here are some more stats on these Players, With some "New" Photos and commentary!

* RB Jim Bertelsen - 1972-1976

Jim went to the Pro Bowl in 1973 ..

.. In his 5 seasons with the Rams he racked up some pretty fare stats ... W/ QB John Hadl (below) and others!

In 68 games he had 614 att.'s for 2466 Yds. / 16 TD's w/ a long of 49 Yds. / a 4.0 aver. / and he had 88 Rec's for 1014 Yds. a 11.5 aver. / and 2 TD's w/ a long of 44 Yds. "1972" wasn't a great year, but 1973 he WOW'd them!

* RB - Dwayne Crutchfield - 1984

Crutchfield wasn't too bad!! Why he only lasted 1 year is anyone's guess!
In 15 games he had 73 Att.'s for 337 Yds. / and 1 TD. w/ a long of 36 Yds. an average of 4.6 / he also had 2 Rec.'s for 11 Yds. and 1 TD. and 1 Fumble.

* TE - Ernie Conwell - 1996-2002

{ He was part of a two TE set in our GSOT Days that didn't get enough credit because of our GREAT WR's!! #2 will follow below!}
In his 7 seasons on the Rams Conwell played in 84 games and had 225 Targets/ 146 Rec.'s for 1574 Yds. / a 10.8 aver. / and 10 TD's w/ a long of 52 Yds. he also had 15 rush Att.'s for 81 Yds. and 2 TD's w/ a long of 17 Yds. w/ a aver. of 5.4 he did have 2 Fumbles BUT remember his SB Win!!

* TE - Jeff Robinson -1997-2001 & 2005

In his 6 seasons on the team he played in 85 games and had 34 Targets w/ 24 Rec.'s for 268 Yds. an 11.2 aver. / and 4 TD's w/ a long of 30 Yds.

* FB/LS - Chris Massey - 2002-2010

" Massey didn't see a lot of playing time because, well, he was a Long Snapper!"
In 9 season and 135 games he had 1 official start! But he did have 2 FR's.

* FB - Zach Laskey - 2015-Present
"OK! He's New and Not stats Yet But I decided to give him some love because he is part of a "Dieing Breed!" in the NFL a ' Full-Back!'
